Star Trek passings

The other names that I can't find a birth or death date are....
Rodger Holloway
Irene Kelly
Patrick Christian
Lee Duncan
Cindy Lou
Brett Dunham
Kirk Ramone
Victoria George
Tim Burns
Mal Friedman
James X Mitchell
Meade Martin
Marcia Brown
Maurishka

I've researched all these names to no avail. But clearly some people have skills!
I just found Brett Dunham last week and expanded on Maurishka's MA article yesterday.

Both are still alive, Dunham was b. 19 August 1931, and Maurishka has two conflicting dates, based on newspaper articles vs. public records, which maybe tells me she said she was younger than she really was, back when, and could lie about it because she wasn't born in the US.

Crazy! I regularly check Memory Alpha for all the people who I haven't been able to find birth and or death dates for and last time I checked he wasn't there but now he is. Sad that he's gone but at least now we know who he is and he gets credit which he didn't get in the episode credits.
Yeah, i guess it was just added last Saturday

I meant Alice Rawlings is apparently alive, but I have not dug in on her yet. Evidently you really much committ to your comment because there is no going back on editing.

I got the gist of what you were saying. I think you get editing privileges after about two weeks and maybe 50 posts.

Ah okay. I know I used to have an old account here, umpteen years ago, but I can't remember what my user name is, or more importantly, what my email then would have been to recover it. Either way, I text type on my phone slower than i think so my words be sometimes dum dum. :-p

Last one for today, Jim Gruzal, aka Don Juan on "Shore Leave", is actually James Gruzalski, b. Jan 4 1938, better know for being married to actress Barbara Rush (who herself was first married to Jeffrey Hunter) and later being engaged to Lee Merriweather. These days he appears to be living in Arizona.

The last three people on my list that have not been mentioned in the past two pages are.....
John Lindesmith
Jay Jones
Jimmy Fields

The number of actors I was unsure of being alive or dead has gone from 31 yesterday down to 19!

From "The Man Trap":
-Garrison True (red shirt ogler) is still kicking afaict;
-Larry Anthony (Berkley) has passed, his b-day and name is wrong on MA/IMDB and dewth not noted, it is 1935-2005;
-Vince Howard (Uhura's Crewman) has passed, his b-day is also wrong on IMDB and MA and death not noted, it is 1929-2002.

As for Alice Rawlings, she seems to be alive, but her name clearly has to be a pseudonym. Outside the normal IMDB/MA stuff, all I could find about her not in normal internet places, was she did some play in 1964 in Illinois, and she was injured fairly badly after falling off a horse during an episode of The Virginian. (Maybe why she left the biz?) But that's it. The address she lived at in the 60s is nonexistent and I have no other vital information about her that could point me in any other directions. So, a bust.

"Alice Rawlings" became a top hit man for the CIA and is slowly scrubbing the internet of all references to her and her past life. We're next...

The name is fairly unique and the age is right but how do you accertain if it's the right guy?

Jimmy Fields and Jimmy Jay Jones, those are common names....Fortunately there was a family tree containing personal headshots of him to eventually verify everything else I had already found doing my "usual thing"; where I generally start with their name, approx birth year and a residental location in the los angeles area and whittle and rabbit hole my way through the data. With that said, I wouldn't post it here if I wasn't at least 95% confident of my result.

That's super interesting. So basically hard work and experience pay off
And a lot of blind luck.

A few more:

Mal Friedman is still alive, b. 9-15-35

Roger Holloway has passed, b. 1927 - d. 2000

Sean Morgan is still alive, b. 6-22-41 (though not mentioned above, he doesn't have a birth date on MA.)

Well, Norman Lloyd passed away, age of 106. Played 'Galen' on TNG's episode 'The Chase'. A great actor. Loved him on St. Elsewhere.

Wow! He was the oldest living ever Star Trek actor and probably the longest living notable actor in American history. Think about this -- he was pretty much TOO OLD to have served in World War II. He was 27 years old at the time of Pearl Harbor and by the time the draft really kicked in when volunteers were starting to become more scarce he would have been almost 30 years old. They probably didn't draft a whole lot of thirty-year-old men. Rest in peace.

That leaves Marsha hunt at 103 years old as the current oldest Star Trek actor. And not far behind is Nehemiah persoff at 101. Star Trek the Next Generation has had a half a dozen actors reach 100 years old and I'm pretty sure the original series didn't have a single one. But if anybody can do it maybe it's Shatner
