Star Trek passings

I saw this on Variety this morning and didn't make the connection. Guess I'll have to start checking any actors credits, especially if they're American actors.

I couldn't place his face either but he was one of those great character actors. I feel like he played everyone's dad. Was also in a movie (I've never seen) called "Elektra Glide in Blue" which is just the coolest name.

Nehemiah Persoff has passed away at age 102. He appeared in the Next Generation episode the most toys. Incredibly prolific character actor. He was the second oldest currently living Star Trek actor until his death. And he is in the top five of the oldest Trek actors who have ever lived. Marsha Hunt Remains the oldest living Star Trek actor at 104. Rest in peace sir you will not be forgotten.

She was the last of the guest actors from that episode to pass away. Interesting fact -- that episode had the largest number of guest actors with speaking roles (13) and the largest number of overall speaking roles (19) of the entire series.

Jack Kehler has passed away, age of 75. He appeared in Deep Space Nine as Jaheel in the episode 'Babel'.

Webster P. Whinery passed away. Primarily a stuntman, he played an Osaarian pirate in season 3 of Enterprise, episode 'Anomaly'.
