Star Trek Online Posts Up Their Excalibur Class

^ I know, like that... thing that was the Miranda? I forgot the name, and I'mcertainly not the one who want to hear it again. It was just a piece of warping fail, no need to bring it up again.

It makes me wish that the devs would have grown the brains to get Probert and Sternbach in there to make some tasty starship-sized morsels.

Yeah, Perpetual had him do some Galaxy-class interior sketches and never called back, IIRC.

To be sure, we can summon him the Beetlejuice way.

Probert! Probert! Probert!

Personally, I like it. I get it that some folks around here despise anything "backwards-looking." But I'm not one of those people.

When the whole "Titan contest" was going on, I was really hoping that the Titan would end up being, essentially, a 24th-century Constitution equivalent, both in capabilities and in general arrangement. In fact, my "Vega class" (in my avatar) started out life as a "Titan Contest" entry, and was intended to be just that... a ship that was more akin to the Constitution, albeit with Sovereign-era technology, than to the Galaxy or any other TNG-era ship.

So, this ship, the "Excalibur" class, is exactly the sort of thing I was hoping to see back then, and is very much to my liking, personally.

Does ANYONE have the official orthos of this class? I keep hearing they exist "out there" somewhere, but I can't for the life of me find them...

I actually think they used one of the NX-01 concepts for this thing, because I'm damn sure that I've seen that before (and it's not the "NX-1701" concept Eaves did.) I'm pretty sure that this was taken from a series of concept pics from one of the early NX model kits.
