Looks like the lovechild of the NuEnterprise, TMP Enterprise and the Nova with plenty of Campbell's Chunky Hull Plating.

It's actually not nearly as bad as their other stuff. So there's that.

True. The hull is at least slightly smooth - that is, there aren't any funny, weird shapes sticking out of it. And it's the least blocky we've seen so far, I think.

The design is mostly meh (as iconic as the Constitution is, I don't see the logic with the "update"), the ship's description makes it sound like it's going to be a replacement for the Galaxy.

Well, the Galaxy replacement would be probably one of the big OMG BIG SHIPS THAT TAKES A MILLION LEVELS AND CREDITS TAE BUY.

This seems more like the Excelsior type to me. Plentiful, cheap, versatile and probably the ship you will see players using the most.

It's like kit bashing done via genetic engineering. Yeah, seems a little off to me. And still sorta chunky - check out the weird secondary hull. It's blockier than Tomalok's forehead.

I have yet to see a new design from the current STO team. So far, they look like cartoonized versions of previous, superior designs. At least Perpetual had that cool runabout thingy with the funky nacelles.

Definately one of the better STO designs.
Personally, I prefer that one to the Bridge Commander "Excalibur". Those double nacelles are RIDICULOUS!

I like it. I guess star ship design is going a little retro or something. Not a bad thing really.

I'm not sure I like it. It's obvious, though, that them and me aren't on the same line when it comes to design. I'd design the nacelle first and designthe rest of the ship around it. These nacelles look wrong. The whole configuration looks indeed like the lovechild of an Excelsior, Nova and... I think something akin to the NX, and a little bit of TMP Constitution. I see potential in the design, though... If someone else would make it. Perhaps I'll take a crack at it when I have the time for it...
