Hi guys (Yakkus ingame), I've recently come back to STO, but have noticed the fleet can be rather quiet. What I mean by this is not just numbers of people online, but there is nothing going on in fleet chat, not any responses when I try to speak to people. Would like to get your thoughts on the matter, if it's something that's relevant to you.

Sorry, I've been away more than usual lately. Unusual that no one would respond when there are people on, though, maybe they were just in the middle of a mission or something?
Sure I'll be more active again soon, but just been a busy IRL time for me recently.
Depends on your playing style, I guess, but not sure how important an hugely-active fleet is, anyway. You want contributions and such, but unless you're doing a RP thing, the game is pretty much designed to be single player, or PUG anyway. Fun to play with groups you know at times, but I'm often the only one on there and it really doesn't change much.
Game has been in a bit of a slow period again, suspect the TOS expansion will spark up some more interest soon. that plus the movie ought to get things going.

I have the bad habit of not noticing chat when I'm busy playing the game. Still, if I do notice chat I will talk!
It's funny this thread popped up as I was thinking a similar thing. I like not being obligated to do anything and I do like to fly solo most of the time but doing some fleet-STF's would be quite fun! If I notice anyone chatting I too will try and join in.
I'm actually away from the game for a while now. After years of being on almost every day for at least a few minutes with only a few weeks worth of breaks in between.
Right now I am not missing it all.
I will probably return some time after the expansion and will actually enjoy the new fresh content.

I quite often play most people are sleeping or doing something else. Over the past week, mainly doing the crystalline event over 7 toons, and then logging off. I did notice some chatter last night, but I was busy doing some of the missions from solanae arc.
