I need to look through all my notes. I probably have some unused uniform redemption codes laying around... Might even have a code for a NX Enterprise (if it didn't expire). I had already purchased the ship before I received the code.

yeah, not sure how many codes they actually gave away, but it's dead now at least. Now they're just harvesting email accounts and telling you they're out of codes. Not that i needed the uniforms, but still, they should tell you they are out before you have to submit info.

Yeah. true. I didn't sign up because I already have the uniform.
Just thought it might be nice for you guys to get them free. Esspecially the newer F2P players.
Sucks if they are out.
Might wanna complain to Cryptic about that, maybe they can help out.

Thanks for the offer of help. I'm so burned out right now I need a break. I may not continue, especially if the game is mostly space flight. That's the only part of the game I didn't like.
I am steering with WASD which is the default setting. I don't know how to switch to the mouse. I'd think I'd be able to steer better with the mouse.

Ah, that's a pity, BB. Have you tried holding down both mouse buttons to steer? Once you get the hang of it, it's great fun. I can't access YouTube at the moment, but there must be some STO flight tutorials available.

If you're still playing, try an escort ship when you can get one. They turn on a dime but are more fragile. The most fun, though, I reckon.

Uniform promo seems to be going strong, but bouncing around websites. Anyone know what's going on there? A few I'd like, although nothing I've needed to jump on so far (either don't want or already have)

Obviously a marketing plan, but haven't figured out what it means yet...

Question - I tried a foundry mission today. Wasn't there some mission that I should have accepted first, then complete 3 foundry missions to get a dil reward? Thanks

Nope, they removed that. Now every foundry mission has standard rewards (if they meet certain standards), and any featured mission will give you a little extra.

Thanks for the advice. I still have enough interest to pop in this forum now and then, if nothing else I enjoy hearing about the game from you guys.
I figure if I did this badly in the tutorial then I'm probably not going to succeed in the game anyways.

You'd be surprised! :)

It just takes a little practice

Space combat is difficult for me also. I can steer with the mouse but just for short periods. (If I had a high quality mouse, it might make a difference.) So most of the time I steer with the keyboard and use the mouse to correct. I've also mapped essential functions to the number pad. Offensive powers go on the upper keys (7/8/9), shield powers go on the middle keys (4/5/6) and repair powers go on the bottom keys (1/2/3) with a panic power on Zero (0). Beam weapons are set to autofire. Torps/mines may be set to autofire depending on the scenario.

Special keyboards and mice make space combat easier. I actually have a gamepad (Fang) but haven't located it after the move. :(

There are numerous strategies for space combat. Most players say it's the right combination of rare weapons and devices. My strategy is much simpler and actually originates in my experience on tabletop gaming - As long as I have superstructure (hull), I'm still in the combat. :)

Wow, when did the price of the party poppers go skyhigh? The fiery poppers were going for 6.3 mil and up. Very tempting to sell some...
