Do the race 25 times on three characters. Unlock one ship per character. Do the race on those characters two more times and unlock the other two (now discounted) ships on all of them.

Is that working? I got the heavy raider last year, and was going to pick it up for my newer alts, but the event project said 1000 portraits for the raider. I start the project because I didn't know if it was bugged or not.
Know it works for the new ship, at least. Cashed in 1000 that I had saved, and then got it on the rest for just the 1 run each. Never tried to get the old ships again, pretty much ground it out and got them on all of my primary 3 toons. Still in the box for most of them anyway
The first Chel Gret was offered outside the Rep System. Looks like it is only a problem, if you got it the very first time around.

I'm yet to decide if I want to try and get one of the Breen ships. On my main character, I fly the Benthan Assault Cruiser. Brought the Mogh for my two Klingon characters. Got the Defiant for my tac.

Nope, I have unlocked the ships in the past two years and the UI still wants 1000 photos for both ships. Good thing is they're fixing it in the next patch.
- Updated ship discount functionality for the Breen Plesh Brek heavy frigate and Breen Chel Grett warship.
- Players who had previously completed the projects to claim one of these ships should be able to unlock their account discount after they talk to Q, or upon acquiring another ship.
Finally getting back to STO after the large patch. Does anyone know where I can find the upgrade token for a Science Vesta?
C-Store, Exchange or be a veteran/lifer to get one free.
I am a lifer but do not see that option. Is it dependent on a high rank than 50?
It gets sent to your character's mail box, have you checked there?
Remeber you only get one for free. So make sure to pick it up with the character you want to use it on.
I have not seen any indication I have mail, but will check. Two T5s but I will use it in the Vesta.
Edit: I saw the email but need to stop at a DQ Dyson sphere to retrieve the item.

Rifles and pistols!
I think the auto rifles are my current weapon of choice. I don't know if it is my expertise, but I'm able to get around 200 dps minimum.
On the other hand, my pistols and Tetryon pulsewave are around 120 or 130 dps...and not as quickly effective.

For just out and about? I tend to avoid the spray and pray type weapons since you still fight the borg occasionally and the adapting constantly makes them not worth it. I mostly just stick to Rep weapons at this point. The Adapted MACO weapon is nice, and once you upgrade it, it's really a 170 DPS pulsewave gun with a grenade launcher, so not bad (plus anything that stacks with it). the new guns in the Delta rep are nice, went Disruptor there. Those are my heavy hitters at the moment...
I've got two auto rifles that I crafted that have around 200 DPS. Currently both are only mk11, so when ever I get them upgrade to higher levels, it will be interesting to see what they are then.
My auto rifles (Polaron, Disrupter) range from Mark X to Mark XIII. However, I'm still working on my crafting levels. So, when I finally reach level 15, I will also be looking to 'level up' my rifles and maybe my Phaser I, III, and III.
Slowly but surely, I'm getting my ground abilities to where my character can be a badass. (My sci kit gives me weapons and medic boosts). However, I'm still trying to figure out how to make my Megellan/Nebula badass....lol
^ I have level 15 over 4 characters in all schools. Upgrading has been a constant thing for me in the game over the last few months. Still lots upgrading to be done, as I get my other characters closer to starting Delta Rising. I know sometime next year, I'll try and do more with my Klingon characters, as I've been using them for grinding materials and dilithium.

Is there something wrong with the servers? They've been down for over an hour and I see nothing posted on the STO forums or on twitter.
Their patch to tides of ice broke something and their trying to fix it.
