Curious as I play a science captain as my main Fed character, how much does it actually hurt to fly a non-science ship? Cuz, the Walker Class IIRC is considered a cruiser (engineering).
I would prefer to play with my main 25th century captain.
Awesome. Cuz I'll be honest most of the Fed science ships once you get past the Intrepid and Luna Class are kinda fugly.
I hope not. You know, despite my handle, I'm a very sweet person.
Career really only matters for ground. The only thing is you'll want to respect your trees, especially if you have a full blue tree as most of that will go to waste. So you'll need to buy a token. But I guess if you have the funds for a Crossfield, that shouldn't be a problem.

Crossfield (Discovery) is a science vessel. And a damn sweet one TBH but still fugly. Walker Class is the Shenzhou. Which IMO is one of the prettiest Trek ships evar!!
Oops. My brain went awry there. Wasn't paying attention. I guess I thought the Walker class was an escort and didn't make the connection.

The Walker Class was a Lobi purchase so yeah, I’m hoping that with the release of AoD it will either be on the c-store or possibly the exchange. Cuz I really want to fly that ship.
I just made a brand new freep account for something different. Gonna have a go with the 2xp and Pheonix pack weekend. And it turns out I still have to install the game. I must have taken it off this PC.

I got ya beat. I haven't played in about 2 years but the AoD not-an-expansion-but-it's-totally-an-expansion resparked my interest.
It's been on the exchange since it launched. All Lockbox/Lobi ships can be traded on the exchange.
And don't hold out any hope for a C-Store version, they've never put a Lockbox/Lobi ship for direct purchase on the store before.

I think the scaling ship is dumb. Dunno why the couldn't just make it $20 with a proper T6 like the others.
I think it's a great idea. I think T1 ships suck as you only have them for about an hour, depending on how fast you level. This way you can stick with just one ship for a longer period of time.

That's my point. The Romulan, Dominion, and Temp Agent packs all come with a T6 for $5 more. And you can use those forevs.

For a 25% increase in price, you get something infinitely more valuable. It's a [realtive] ripoff, you're paying a little less to get a lot less - under the guise of 'convenience'. Which I didn't even know was a thing. It takes me about 30 seconds to switch ships while leveling.
Cryptic has been frog in potting people with their shenanigans for a few years now (in all their games), and I'm getting pretty fucking sick and tired of it.
