I'm looking for a new ship, particularly for my Fed Sci, but then I found out that the Ferengi Nandi (used also with my Fed Eng and Rom Tac) has an exchange. Not too mention, it's been very versatile with my characters.

I'm curious, though, what is a Federation equivalent to the Nandi?

No idea, never flown a Nandi.
Does she have a tac commander? Then it would be the Chimera/Manticore I guess, as a destroyer type ship.

I know little to nothing about Fed ships, but maybe this thread would be helpful? http://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1203392/science-ships-is-vesta-still-the-besta

There's not going to be a one-for-one replacement to the Nandi, but the Geneva class Science variant of the Command Battlecruiser might come close. Both ships have +10 weapon power, +10 engine power, Cmdr Engineer station and Lt. Cmdr Science station.

The main differences are the Nandi has 2 more tactical consoles and turns faster, but the Geneva has 2 more engineering consoles and much more shield and hull hitpoints.

It really sounds to me like you are waiting for the T6 Souvereign.
The Fleet T5U is probably not much worse than the future T6, if at all, with the main difference that it won't come with it's own ship trait, doesn't have any spec stations and you might miss out on a new gimmicky console.
The T5 C-Store version however, which you can easily upgrade, comes with a Riker maneuver console and a 180' arc quantum torpedo (also upgradable), which is excellent since you can use it while broadsiding with beams without much need for turning.
It took the T6 Galaxy Class to get me out of that ship, which I fly only for the iconic value.

Is there anywhere I can go to sell off all the different types of items in my inventory? My inventory was full, and I noticed that only certain items pop up for certain people I could sell to. So is there anyone who will take all of the different types of items?

Basically any vendor on most major starbases/hubs that also sells you something.
Used to be that barkeepers give you a slightly better return than regular gear vendors... and avoid selling to a Ferengi! they rip you off. if you are a Ferengi yourself you also get better selling prices... I think.

Most vendors on major installations such as Earth Space Dock, Qo'nos, New Romulus, Bajor, Starbase 39, Deep Space 9, Drozana Station, K-7, Omega Battle Group and the Dyson Spheres will take in everything you sell. This includes personal gear vendors, starship gear vendors and bartenders. There are also a small number of roaming space merchants in the quadrant maps that will buy everything.

The only exception are commodity vendors, who will only take your commodity items.

I use the vendor on new Romulus, they take everything and pay out quite well :)

Sell at DS9 it gives pretty good return from it.

I had a million Tribbles, and I wanted to get rid of at least a couple of them, but they never popped up on any of the sell screens, same goes for a bunch of food and drinks. Can you not sell that stuff?

If the value is zero the vendors won't take them, just discard them, or feed the food to more tribbles and the tribbles to cannibal tribbles and sell the carcasses to klingons or something like that.
or use the tribbles for genetic research at your science doff contact to turn them into better tribbles.

Dude, chances are the tribbles ate ALL your food. The only way to get rid of tribbles is to manually discard them, one by one. ((Right click on a tribble and select "Discard"))

Is it possible to sell carcasses on the Exchange? That could be an alternative to discarding them.

JD, if you have space in your Boffs slots, give them the food instead of selling/discarding it. When their health is low, they eat it and quickly get better.

If you're patient, you can grow better tribbles with multibuffs: http://www.stoacademy.com/guides/tribbles.php

Do they do that? The food I collected is gone, and I honestly can't remember for sure if I sold it or not.
I ended up discarding all but two of the tribbles.

Yes, they do that. Every hour you play the game, each tribble will eat one piece of food and make a new tribble. This happens in your inventory, your bank, even in you and your officer's equipment slot

Aegis set question.

I was never able to get the aegis set. I would still love to have it. Would it it be inappropriate to request some help getting that set? Of course can can pay. Sorry if my question crosses a line. Thanks all.

EDIT:

After further research I think I can just get it on the exchange (a bit pricey still).

EDIT 2:

LOL! OK a lesson on look before you post. I got all 3 pieces off the exchange, a bit pricey but not too bad. I know the set is out of date but it's a feather in my cap I always wanted.

Move along, nothing to see here! hahaha!
