Probably not this weekend. The film will probably only make like $75k-80k since its losing IMAX and will fall back to the trend it was following before it was re-released.

Domestically, TREK passed RAIDERS a month or two ago. But it's interesting and nice to know its about to surpass Indy on the international charts as well.

It's been a great run with good legs, and awesome IMAX returns. We all know it would have been better if the international crowd got into it a little more. But overall when all the comparisons are done this movie was a great success.

The next one will do even better.

So what does this success tell us? That people were not tired of Star Trek, they just wanted a different kind of Star Trek. As for me, who loves the entire franchise, I'm tickled pink!

nuTREK is here to stay...at least until Bran Ferren and Shatner get hold of one of the films. Then we're all fucked.
