Star Trek Movie Classics Omnibus

For some reason I had it in my head 1 or 2 of them were new because they didn't do them when the movies came out.

And that's exactly true, since "one or two" includes "one." One of them, the Wrath of Khan adaptation, was only recently published, because no comics company held the adaptation license at the time the film was released. Although I'm not sure if this was the first time it was collected.

Yes ST II was included in an IDW omnibus for STs II, III and IV, which originally replaced the advertised/delayed TMP-ST VI inclusive omnibus on IDW's schedule. If Ronny collected the ST II mini-series as separate issues, and already has Marvel TMP, and DC ST III, IV, V and VI, then the new omnibus brings him nothing new, except maybe the glossier paper.

As a completist, I must have them all.......

I prefer the old adaptations myself, as they're usually based on the earlier versions of the movie/script and include stuff that isn't in the movies.

I picked mine up on Thursday. I'd forgotten the size difference between IDW's "omnibus" reprints and their regular trade collections. So if your main interest is having a bound version of ST II, go for the "Motion Picture Trilogy" reprint (May 2010):

If you don't mind a smaller page size, or need all six movies:

Notice that they've had to recreate the original cover art for the movies, some more successfully than others.
