Star Trek Merchandise and Memorabilia Thread

Finally, some "Movie Theater" stuff:
I actually have the original Theatrical Release posters for every Trek movie except TMP, which is a re-print. I rotate them through my mancave. I have a TFF poster signed by Shatner, Nichols and Takei as well...but it's not in my rotation right now.

I LOVE this piece I found on Ebay....this is a cardboard theater display I looked for YEARS to find, remembering all the way back to 1989 and seeing it in the movie theater on opening night!

This time, have they finally gone too far?
Yes, I would say that TFF went too far, and not in a good way.

My wife sells alot of these along with other toys for the company she owns so probably a conflict for me to post. That said some nice unique items posted by everyone so far.

I bet it would cool as long as you weren't soliciting. I'd love to see more stuff on this thread. Some people have some gems I'm sure.

I am so happy to have stumbled across this post tonight... so much cool stuff, thank you ALL for posting! I've had a blast looking through your pictures and reading about your favorite pieces.

LAFR, Forbin, Stingh2, Vger23... you guys, wow, you blew me away. AWESOME stuff, all around, I love it all!

Stingh2, as a card collector myself, seeing your collection made my night!

sorry have to figure out again on posting photos

There's a little icon button on the posting tool that looks like a picture of mountains and the sun. Click that. Then, go to Photobucket and click on the links provided for sharing. Paste that sucker into the space this site provides.

Should be good to go!

Posted this also in the starships thread.

Eaglemoss appear to be running a poll to assess the likely demand for Star Trek busts.

I'm not sure if the link works from every locality.

Because of space limitation, I'm only interested in the big three from TOS. I voted in favour of the more expensive version rather than the cheaper version of the items.

It says "Please rank Data" but shows a picture of Picard.

I took some time using a set of micron pens to detail my Art Asylum USS Enterprise-A. The release, while being very high quality compared to the Wrath of Khan versions (translucent plastic and questionable detailing) or the E-A re-releases (wonky nacelles, visible glue issues, etc) was never really heavy on detail. I had read that some folks had used this technique to spiff their toys up.

Remember, I'm not a model builder by any stretch, and this was done with the perspective that this is a very nice TOY and not a model. My only goal was to make the toy "pop" a bit more and add some fun little details. So...don't judge. Haha!

First, I used a black pen to accentuate all of the windows on the ship. You can also see in this picture that I colored the fore running light yellow and I colored the reaction thrusters on the saucer edge brown:

I also did some subtle detail around the phaser banks (outlined in red and greyed-out the nozzles). I also used a grey pen to outline the access hatches (like the ones Kirk and company leave through to go meet V'Ger). I shaded the bridge dome a silvery-color and shaded in some of the little boxes around the bottom of the dome where it meets the saucer, to match with the appearance in TMP :
