Star Trek :Into Darkness Trailer has been Rated.

Personal. No details, but evidently a fair number of people involved in the business, either in marketing of some kind or exhibition, saw the trailer today.

The trailer itself may be rated PG. If the film itself is still in post-production for effects, and no release date for 6 months, odds are MPAA hasn't rated it yet.

Saw it. When the credits flash at the end, you can clearly see that it says:

"and Benedict Cumberbatch as Gary Khan"

How's that for a typo?

Those incompetent bastards.

His finest work, as I recall. Cost me a roll of quarters.

I don't think anyone would be foolish enough to post details of the trailer on Facebook. But if enough people saw it, someone's gonna drop a dime to AICN or TrekMovie or ComingSoon...

Does anyone know about Pine, Abrams, Cumberbatch and Bryan Burk in Tokyo with trailer?
Read this.

Star Trek:Into Darkness, will be in cinemas on September 2013 Japan, reveals a special footage presentation on 4th December from 9:50 at 109Cinemas Kiba, cinema2(IMAX), Paramount Pictures Japan announced. Director J.J Abrams, Chris Pine, Benedict Cumberbatch and Producer Bryan Burk will come to Tokyo to attend.

If anyone hears anything further let me know!

Okay, this is getting fun.

A post over at Trekmovie.com:

I’ve seen the trailer – it doesn’t confirm that Cumberbatch is playing Gary Mitchell. He has a monologue where he mentions “revenge” and he looks to have stronger than human strength, so it’s a possibility.

Also, the Enterprise goes underwater. It’s going to make a beautiful desktop wallpaper :)
Link

I'd be more dubious of that, except for:

I'm looking forward to seeing the debates on Trek Tech, similar to the ones over "Enterprise being built on Earth" from the first film :)

So, it seems this movie draws even more heavily on "Run Silent, Run Deep", than TWOK did.

This sounds incredibly stupid even if it does look pretty.

They better not say that it is designed to be able to go under water..

Well duh.

Clearly Benedict Cumberpatch is Spongebob Squarepants.

IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.

I saw it today. God, I wish I could talk about it, but I'd have to kiss my job goodbye. It's certainly going to generate a lot of discussion!

I will go to California and make you steak and cookies...

Maybe Abrams considers "The Ambergris Element" to be canon, though I don't think the Enterprise did a Flying Sub stunt there.
