Star Trek Infinite - Need Advices & Tips

I have recently become fascinated by Star Trek-related games, and this one in particular has caught my interest. I enjoy strategic games, but they often seem too complex for me to fully grasp due to the multitude of things happening simultaneously. Despite this, I am eager to play it and would appreciate any tips from others on how to navigate it.

Firstly, I hope it is possible to play casually. My goal is to beat the game as the Federation faction, but when Bajor is absorbed and the Borg arrive, it feels like a losing battle. Am I doomed to fail if I don't prioritize these two tasks? Is there a way to play without constant struggle, simply exploring, inviting races, and completing quests?

Secondly, if I want to free Bajor and defeat the Borg, I feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information I need to track. Each planet must be defended, each base armed, and I need money, officers, resources, and fleets. Expansion itself demands resources and ships, and I need to maintain my planets. I understand the game's mechanics, but the strategy is vague. I've looked at YouTube for help, but it hasn't provided much clarity. I know the basics, but I don't know how to combine them into a winning strategy and I really need tips like "start building these ships" or "expand in this direction with bases" and "build this amount of fleets to...". The most frustrating aspect is the constant demand for ambassadors, which strains my resources. Like, I have three people, but I need six. Is there any way to recruit more ambassadors to handle negotiations and establish First Contacts?
