Star Trek in Non-Star Trek Places

an early episode of South Park had a kid in a red shirt get killed by a monster. Its the episode that made me get into South Park cecause I realized the creator's had a subtle sense of humor.

Lost and Warehouse 13 have both made "redshirt" jokes as well.

Also one early episode of South Park was a direct parody of Dagger of the Mind, with brainwashed kids at the planetarium saying "I love my work." And another one was a parody of Miri, where the kids made all the grownups get arrested by telling the police they molested them, and then a guy's car breaks down in the town and he ends up giving a Shatner speech to them. "Your...birthgivers!"

Then there was that episode of Beavis & Butthead where Butthead dreamed he was captain of the Enterprise and ordered Troi to take her clothes off.

And pretty much every sitcom which has a nerdy character has had some kind of Star Trek reference. I vaguely recall an exchange on Drew Carey where two nerds are debating whether Dax is desirable considering she has an 'old man worm' in her belly. And Family Guy has probably done a zillion cutaway references to it. Shatner is heavily involved in the first episode, and Stewie recalls his ancestor 'Quark Griffin'. Odo: "I could turn into a snake and swallow you whole." Quark: "Yeah, why don't you change into something with a personality."

Upright Citizens Brigade had a skit about Little Donny, a child with a medical condition where he had a very large penis, and he had an obsession with Tuvok.

In Criminal Minds, the IT teach, Garcia made a reference/joke about being doomed "as in Star Trek red shirt doomed"

It was the same episode that Jonathan Frakes guest starred.

There's also this little gem, which means that Matt and Trey aren't just Trekkies, they're fans of Zephram Cochrane:

Stan: You know, somebody once said, “Don’t try to be a great man, just be a man.”
Jesus: Who said that?
Stan: You did, Jesus.
Jesus: You’re right, Stan. Thank you, boys!
Kyle: Wow, did he say that in the Bible?
Stan: Nah, I saw it on Star Trek.
-South Park, “Damien”, during the boxing match between Jesus and Satan
