Star Trek Fan Rules:

Praxius

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
Figured this could be a fun and informative topic.

Let's list some Rules that Star Trek fans should follow (non binding of course)

Rule #1:
Never ask a Star Trek Actor how long it took them to put their makeup on. They don't like it because they get that all the time. Google it.

Rule #3:
Avoid a Star Wars vs. Star Trek Debate with a Star Wars Fan. You might as well get into a debate about Religion.... oh wait... they got a religion. Just smile and nod.

Rule #2009:
Always justify your dislike of a particular Trek by pointing out minor continuity nitpicks, while acting as though the Treks that you love are completely devoid of them.

Rule 34 coincidentally is the same as for the internet in general.

"If it exists, there is porn of it. No exceptions"

1st RULE: You do not talk about Star Trek restrictions.
2nd RULE: You DO NOT talk about Star Trek restrictions.
3rd RULE: If someone says "stop" or goes limp, or taps out the show is over.
4th RULE: Only two guys to an argument.
5th RULE: One argument at a time.
6th RULE: No shirts, no shoes.
7th RULE: Binging will go on as long as they have to.
8th RULE: If this is your first night watching Star Trek, you HAVE to geek out.

Damn, you beat me to it!!

Rule #82.65 - Subsection 3 - Paragraph 7 - Line 2:
All Star Trek Fans must know how to either make a Vulcan "Live Long and Prosper" hand Gesture or be comfortable using a Ferengi Tooth Sharpener.

It is recommended to learn the hand gesture.

Rule #3:
Avoid a Star Wars vs. Star Trek Debate with a Star Wars Fan. .
Rule #3, subsection A. If you do get in such a debate, casually mention to them that Starfleet's light weight navigational deflectors block laser beams ... this drives them insane.

Rule #1 Always try and get as many people into Trek as possible. Starting with your long suffering partner.

Rule #1 subsection A:
Whilst binge watching with your long suffering partner be sure to explain in detail, every scene, what exactly is going on.

Rule #1c: Your favorite version of Star Trek is the best period and any version you don't like isn't really Star Trek at all.

Rule #∏: If you are in any argument in which you're taking a position against NuTrek, the first comment you make must reference lens flare.
