I meant as the term was defined in the original Star Trek pitch (March 11, 1964, page 4), where it was about similar social evolution. Both "A Piece of the Action" and "Patterns of Force" have the superficial semblance, but it's couched in terms of contamination and interference, respectively. "Bread and Circuses" on the other hand is straight "parallel worlds" as described in the pitch.
