Star Trek Discovery: The Future is Definitely Female

So, is the entire premise of this topic based solely on the title of the roundtable discussion mentioned in the OP?

About the OP:

It is an intriguing question, could human civilization be heading back to matriarchy?
I don't understand how a speaking event whose participants are important women involved in the show both in front of and behind the camera and the event's playful name have any bearing on whether on the real-world future of civilization will be a matriarchy, nor did I realize that it once was one, overall. Could the OP elaborate?

Not everyone has had a queen or female head of state already. (Tongue in cheek.)
There are historical and even current Matriarchies, allowing for a certain literal meaning of the word. I think Michael Palin visits a current one in Himalaya. There’s hand tickling.
But atm we seem to be going through a la li lu li le phase with The Patriarchy thing. But that’s a percolator of fish it’s wiser not to prod I guess.

Wow, who would imagine that the stereotypical sci-fi enthusiast would enjoy seeing beautiful women.

... that was sarcasm, in case you couldn't tell. My question is, why did it take so long? With all the amazing predictions sci-fi has given about technology and society, shouldn't true equality between men and women be a good one to predict? It will happen someday.

I think when they say 'the future' they're being cute and talking specifically about Discovery and the majority representation they have in it.. I don't think they mean the actual future.
