RMB might’ve been right, but a broken clock is still right a couple times a day.

As to the episode, I was pleasantly surprised and ended up enjoying it more than the first part. And dammit, I got excited with the reveal of the Guardian. Just couldn’t help myself.

Good episode, but they were laying the Burnham worship on kinda thick at the end. Still, that was a nice two parter, and it was a nice send off for Mirror Georgiou. I would have liked to see her on the other side though.

As for the whole Guardian of Forever thing, I'm barely on twitter but I have seen some of RMB in the past. He has his opinions and they come off like "oh no the sky is falling". I don't think the Guardian of Forever was a "sky is falling moment". In fact, I liked the transition between door and portal. Heck, even the Guardian's voice was really cool. This did not destroy Star Trek. In fact, I think it added to it.

I'm giving this one an 8. It would have gotten a 9, but the ending was a little too sentimental for my tastes. Still, I enjoyed that one and the two parter quite a bit.

That at least was to be expected XD

I guess my theory that this is the Guardians' gateway is proven wrong after all :guffaw::D:hugegrin:

Good episode. No doubt some will hate it, but that's a given. I thought it ended on the right note. I liked the previous episode a little more, but this was the more serious episode. I'm looking forward to what they do next and I give it a 9.

BTW, he isn't a member here, so I can say this: I think RMB is a total moron.

Nice use of the original GoF voice, and it looks similar enough - actually more similar to the TAS version than the TOS one XD

A solid 8 1/2, but since there is no 8 1/2 on the poll I was generous and gave it a 9. I am glad that there was still progress made on the main mystery of the season and the Mirror Georgiou story was good.

[SPOILER/]However, I am a bit confused about what happened with the Mirror Universe and what it means for the Star Trek multiverse. I am also intrigued about what happened after Mirror Georgiou #2 died. I would love to see what Carl/The Guardian meant about Mirror Saru #2 in a future episode.[/SPOILER]

I really enjoyed tonight's episode. I, too, wish we got to see where Georgiou ended up--but I suppose that was the writers giving themselves plenty of wiggle room for the Section 31 show--we only assume she will be back in the 23rd century, but who knows?

It was also fascinating to see that, despite her best efforts, she couldn't save the Terran Empire from itself. I was genuinely stunned by Burnham's second betrayal. My only complaint? I was really hoping they got Jason Isaacs back for a cameo. Ah well.

Did she even really go back? Wasn’t she just laying on the ground for just a minute or so? But then she had three months of data on her device. Probably an alternate MU.

Wouldn’t it be cool if she was sent to the 24th century where the universes could be crossed using the transporter aka. Ds9? Weren’t they interviewing Alexander Siddig recently?

I thought part 1 was a bit weak, I enjoyed the first 2/3rd, and felt the MU appearance was overkill, but I'm happy to say the MU story in this episode was beneficial to the character of Georgiou going forward with the Sec 31 series, and I also got some answers from the Guardian of Forever portion, so quite a big improvement over Part 1 and it actually made that part better.

Part 1: 6.75/ Part II: 8.5

RAMA

What was with the upside down credits? Another mistake?
It was an okay episode but it was just another massive click tease. Saying Lorca constantly but never showing him. I wanted her to save him and bring him back.
I also noticed that Discovery can go warp 9. So Mirror ships are faster than prime 23rd century ships. I suppose having the Defiant caused the jump in tech.
