I celebrated Trek's birthday coincidentally by watching "The Gamesters of Triskelion" (definitely not my favorite episode), and the William Shatner roast. Interesting, and funny at times, but bizarre. Especially Takei; I've never seen him try to do comedy before (and was that Scott Hamilton in the audience? Seeing Adrian Zmed was cool).

First stop is Iceland, that much we do know.

I heard they were gonna film all the locations first, then film all the studio shots, gives them that much more time to bulid sets and whatnot.

I heard the exact opposite. That they plan to film for two months (starting in November) on sets and places around California, and go to Iceland in the spring for two weeks. But I could be wrong...

470 and 56 days to go.

41st anniversary of the first episode broadcast passed last Saturday. I can't imagine they've signed their Kirk yet... how on earth could they keep it from us? Someone would find out and bring the news here. They must be waiting 'til the last minute for some reason.

468 days 'til release... 54 days out from the start of filming. Based on some of the threads in Star Trek XI, we're getting hungry for news and it's making us speculative and paranoid... well, more speculative and paranoid than usual. They need to throw us a bone (or a Bones!)...
