But there's plenty of life left in the Klingons, Romulans, Orions, Andorians (LOVE the antennae).And how about some fun HUMAN characters? The humans of this time period are roguish and outlandish. Hey that makes me think of a topic, I'll go start it.
484. I wish we had more casting news to chat about.
I'm thinking that the news will start to ramp up soon... first casting news, then plot details and sneaked photos... movie shoots have few secrets they can manage to keep these days...
Once we start to get leaks on a regular basis, time'll fly by... and then the marketing campaign will start... I so cannot wait for the first trailer... or even a no-footage, title-only teaser...

Christmas Day this year is gonna be fun because we'll know the movie is just one year away from being released. I never go to the movies on Christmas so I won't see it until a day or two after.

If "Cloverfield" or whatever it's called is coming out on January 18, 2008, then I think THAT'S when we will see the first teaser trailer...it will be attached to that film.
Of course December would be fine with me, also...the sooner the better.

Well, the teaser I'm thinking of would not show any actual film footage in it, think like the First Contact teaser with the Borgifed Starfleet logo and the D whooshing through it.
Something along those lines would be fine in my book.
A longer teaser trailer in front of 1/18/8 aka Slusho aka Cloverfield aka Overnight ake Monsterous aka WhatEverItIsCalledThisWeek aka JJ's American Monster Movie aka Something to keep the Lost fans busy 'till the new season starts well into next year aka WTF was that in front of Transformers anyway aka Give Us A Title Allready Why Don't You ? aka Search all over the Internet for clues forever and wind up not knowing any more then you did before. WHEW !

The likilyhood of an asteriod hitting the Paramont lot while Trek is in production is so high I won't even mention it here.
It's more likily for the Stock Market to crash again in our life-times then an asteriod to hit this planet anytime soon, see unlike the Dinosaurs this cash based system we've created is more fickle then asteriods slamming into us.
Then again the Dinosaurs never really knew what hit them
We at least would know about anything heading our way unless it was something so far out of our understanding we'd end up as dead as the Dinosaurs did.
Besides 2012 is a long ways away anyway

Have they said what day they're starting filming ?
( or Digital Recording whatever the case may be )

What happens in 2012? I don't remember receiving any memos on it.
Quinto said in one of the million interviews he's been giving lately that they start filming on November 5th. I'm not sure that I counted the days right, though...
2012 is when the Myan Calender runs out.
