Spoilers Star Trek Continues

You're thinking short term, Warped. What I mean by more screen time= more $$, is actors are also angling for their future $$$ as well, the job after the current one. Actors have no compunction in asking that their character suddenly act in completely uncharacteristic ways, but those scenes make nifty portfolio pieces to show other producers in order to get future acting gigs.
Fair enough.

I loved the show from the beginning. So much so that I contacted Vic to see if he'd allow me to write some original music for STC. So far, I've scored episodes 4,5,and 6, the three episodes you haven't seen yet. I was unable to do 7 because of scheduling issues but I shall return.
That was you? May I virtually shake your hand, sir? Your compositions (and the talented orchestras that played them) blended beautifully into the episodes, but especially "Come Not Between the Dragons". The final scene was so lovely and heartbreaking, and I think your music had a lot to do with that. Bravo!

Not Herbert - are you from NY? I was under the impression that the music was recorded right near where I am, in Rochester.

I am in Westchester, about 45 minutes from NYC. I DID record the score for episodes 4 and 6 in Rochester with Ef-Me (Empire Film Music Ensemble), an orchestra assembled by Eastman students. Episode 5 was recorded during the summer of 2015, so I used pros in New York who are Trek fans.

Thanks for the kind words. As it was with TOS, we do partial scores for STC. I wrote a pile of original cues for "Come Not Between the Dragons", but I also transcribed and re-arranged some classic TOS cues including the last big scene in "Come Not Between the Dragons" which was from Empath.
Here is the original cue from TOS The Empath. It has been edited by Vic to fit the scene. https://soundcloud.com/ajfarber-1/final-scene-temp
And here's my version, recorded in Rochester by Ef-Me https://soundcloud.com/ajfarber-1/4m6-01380413
