Star Trek Continues final Kickstarter???

The engine room was funded completely. The planet set was only funded partially. It needs a little bit more.

According to the last Kickstarter, the Planet set was fully funded. But the third episode was only partially funded.

The third episode (Episode 7) has since been fully funded thanks to a large contribution by Steven Dengler.

I'd say they saw the writing on the wall once CBS announced the new Star Trek series for 2017 release to boost CBS' Netfilx clone service. Unlike Axanar, they didn't want to continue to 'poke the Bear' as it were.

I can tell you second-hand that they originally intended to make last year's "Kirkstarter 2.0" their final fundraiser and even then were planning a limited run of episodes. At the time, they were anticipating a very large donation that would take care of all the episodes they wanted to make, but ultimately that didn't materialize (pun intended). So I don't think the new series from CBS has affected their plans in any significant way.

Read last night that STC was falling far short of their goal perhaps due to recent legal issues at another fan series as well as delaying the fundraiser to allow another production to proceed first. Any truth? have always contributed and just LOVE this series!!

Yes, it appears that the "Axanar" fiasco has really effected donations. Terrible that one bad apple has spoiled the bunch.

What does it mean going forward for eps beyond #7? Will a full 13 require future fundraisers? Will the series be stalled or shortened?
