^^ Then check out Phase II--they do plenty of that. STC said they want to continue the 5-year mission, then that means going forward, not backward.
Still Live in Agawam, I remember those days, Star Trek at 4 and Space 1999 at 5, boy what days
By the way, Dave, did you (or anyone else) notice the Space:1999 sound effect used in Fairest of Them All? I'm not saying it was intentional..it just caught my ear!
...and an incredible turn-around time on new episodes.

No I didn't when did it occur?

What Maurice said... and also doing nothing but bottle shows with a small amount of relatively-simple FX shots helps as well.
I would never presume to tell anyone how to spend their time, money or talent...but just think what a service it would be to future generations to re-make The Alternative Factor, and get it right this time!![]()

The right way is to burn the script and write it from scratch so it makes a lick of sense.

This is true, there is not a whole lot in shot in the 3 episodes that is not on the TOS sets. Lets hope this will change on future episodes. Now that they got the production process down and tuned well, cant wait to see what some on location stuff will be like.
Lets not forget that turn-around-time is faster when you raise a buttload of money to push it along.

I respectfully disagree here. The first episode "Pilgrim of Eternity" had the same "turn-around-time" with NO raised money. Star Trek Continues is committed to getting episodes filmed and released in a reasonable amount of time regardless of how it is funded. Besides, the funding basically pays for travel and SOME set improvements (very little) but has very little to do with how fast the episodes are turned out.
So, "Fairest of Them All" was filmed in mid-March with the Galileo scenes being filmed a month after that; so it's just been 3 months since principle filming on the episode started. I know I am partial but 3 months for a bunch of volunteers is not bad in my mind.
It sure beats waiting for years . . .
