Star Trek Conspiracy

The material is all available on the net. Look up the early days of negotiations. Let's move to Gene Rodenberry. Born and bred in El Paso Texas, an LAPD detective by trade (both points certain) and supporter of Confederacy (apparent), he may not have been at heart the liberal he is usually portayed as.

This is such a bad conspiracy theory that even Google doesn't pull up anything on it.

Phillip Morris did sponsor I Love Lucy for three years in the early 1950s but then the tobacco company allowed the contract to lapse and severed their relationship with the studio.

And by the way, what in the fuck does Phillip Morris have to do with the KKK? I thought the popular wacko theory was that the KKK had Kentucky Fried Chicken add an ingredient to the recipe that made black men impotent. You don't believe in that crock of shit, too, do you? I hope not. That conspiracy is equally groundless.

Sorry, tommy boyd, but nobody is talking about this, not even the Greys secretly held in Area 51.

I'm as big a fan of ST as anyone, especially the first programmes. But. The enduring enemy in the early years, the Klingons, were big, rough mannered, and black.

The Klingons in Star Trek were played in every single case by white actors. As close as you get to an ethnic Klingon was Kang, played by Michael Ansara. He was Syrian.

You really are so wrong it's not even funny.

You want us to see things from your point of view.

Sorry, I can't seem to get my head that far up my ass.

Now Tommy, let me guess, you work for this publication don't you?

TOS Klingons were white. Not only were they played by white actors, they looked white. Mind you, some of them had make up to make their skin look darker than it's natural colour, but they were still clearly white. It wasn't until TMP that we got the black-looking Klingons, even though most of them are white actors.

For that matter, aside from Worf, is there a prominent Klingon to be played by a black actor?

Okay. Here's what the programme can prove: that to get Star Trek off the ground, the creator had to appease and delight financiers with strong right wing views. Gene Roddenberry was in tune, and played ball. Marlboro, the backers, a redneck corporate, even fought to have the crew smoke. They lost that one. There would be no black men, but a saucy black girl. They got that. Caucasian pioneers are the heroes, the white way is the future. There's a mountain of other material proving the influence of the Klu Klux Klan on the scripts. Anybody ever come across a bunch of black ST fans?

^^ I missed the one where Kirk, Spock and McCoy beamed down to burn a few black people at the stake.

Why would they want any black people in it at all, either male or female? Blacks no, but Asians yes? Russians yes? And fcuk it, Blacks no, but aliens yes?

Is the rest of the 'mountain' as questionable as this? It's not even logically sound.

"Caucasian pioneers are the heroes, the white way is the future"

Hmmm that would be news to Commodore Stone and Lt. Uhura I would think...heck most fo the court martial panel of Stabase 11...

then Commodore Mendez...yep white power...

*lesigh*

"Anybody ever come across a bunch of black ST fans? "

This so appalled me. Quite frequently actually...

*sighs* troll.

I was going to make a detailed rebuttal of your claims, tommy boyd, but it wouldn't make any difference. Somebody as wacked out as you doesn't want to listen to the truth. The only thing you'll believe are your racist fears. I'm glad at least we have found out your motivation: fear of black people. I'm sorry for you because, yes, I have known of a lot of black Star Trek fans, some of them on this board.

Yesterday you weren't on TrekBBS. Yesterday was a better day than today. I can only hope you'll find another place to spew your racist illogical views by tomorrow.
