Star Trek comics - Delta Quadrant

Hi, I'm new to the boards so hello all!

I am a casual Trekkie, I've mostly watched TOS and Voyager (a little bit of Next Generation) but I had a question about a recent comic story arc I read. In the IDW comic, around issue #45 they are sent to the Delta Quadrant, which is if I recall correctly where Voyager was. Yet about 3 issues later, they are back within Star Fleet range, how is this possible? Or is there anything I'm missing? Thanks a lot Also what's your opinion about the comic generally? I like it

The universe is simply different in the Abrams films. Warp speeds are much faster than shown in the Prime universe shows.
