*~Star Trek Books FAQ 2009 Edition~*

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

There are definitely edits to be made in every post except maybe the last two. Not a huge update, but big enough that me making a new thread will probably be easier on you :)

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

Busier this weekend than I thought. I don't think this is especially urgent though; if no one else wants it done immediately, I can get around to it sometime soon.

Thrawn, if you're too busy, I don't mind having another crack at it, or trying to compile some to lessen the load for you...

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

Oops! I totally forgot I'd decided to do this. I'm a terrible person

Now, I'm definitely WAY too busy, so feel free to have at it.

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

:p K, I'll get on it... umm... did I ever send you a text file? If so, could you email it to me...? LOL!!

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

Anyone have a fancy list of ST comics? I can compile one but I'd at least need someone to look it over..

Also, what should I do with the Typhon Pact books? Their own little spot or...?

More questions as they pop into my head... :p

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

Given how spread out some of the characters are (Bashir in Zero Sum Game, for instance) I just classify them along with Articles Of The Federation, Destiny, A Singular Destiny, and the forthcoming Indistinguishable From Magic as a sort of "shared novel continuity" that doesn't belong to any particular series. That seems to be the way they're branded, anyway; "Star Trek" and nothing else.

From what I gather, Indistinguishable is more of a TNG novel with guest stars, though I'm not sure how it's being branded. Now, my DTI novel is definitely not attached to any specific series, and in fact has some overlap with all of them (to varying extents).

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

^ He mentioned in his announcement thread that it would be branded "Star Trek" with no series subtitle.

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

I am hoping to get some help here. I see that there is a lot of Star Trek literature. I want to find a Star Trek novel to star my reading of Star Trek that is very heavy in Vulcans. I love the Vulcans, I can't get enough of them.

Any recommendations?

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

the Vulcan's Soul books, Vulcan's Glory.... there are several books with the title 'Vulcan's X' try any of them...

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

Since a new "New Frontier" novel is coming out, should I put in a section somewhere in the FAQ about NF? I know the novel has been pushed back a few times, but it's probably coming... right?

Re: *~Star Trek Books FAQ Latest Edition~*

Losing the Peace
Full Circle
Unworthy
Over a Torrent Sea
A Singular Destiny
