The shoulders on Scotty's uniform do look different. It also looks solid red (even with the picture blown up), at least I can't make out any of the tiny arrowheads that were all over the uniforms in the first two movies. He's also wearing something on his left wrist. The pants seem charcoal, too, not black.
Interesting that there doesn't seem to be any rank insignia on the jackets Kirk and Chekov are wearing. They seem identical.
Edited to add: There is English written on the inside of the hatch. It says "Warning," in red inside a red-hashmark rectangle. There's small print below it. From the wear and tear on the hatch (rust or corrosion wouldn't be the result of a crash) maybe it is an old wreck, or was at least an old ship.

Chris Pine's career is broad enough and he's got enough fame that I don't think he'd be bothered if I said he was born to play Captain Kirk.

Looks like Scotty's uniform has got some interesting additions to it. Hadn't noticed the darker side panels. That with the higher collar and the weird shoulders definitely gives it a TOS/TNG hybrid vibe.
And yes, Pine definitely finally has that Kirk look to him.

It's the hair.
As for the jackets, I like them, but I liked the STiD jackets better.
Love it. The jackets have a campy comic bookish quality to them, like Gold Key Trek come to life. The alien looks like a Nibiru had sex with a Wraith from Stargate Atlantis. Also very cool.
Scotty's dropped the dye job! He looks better with his normal Simon Pegg hair colour (also a bit Gold Key-ish, where Scotty was blonde!)

These look fantastic! Oh, this is shaping up to be something really awesome! It's great to see Star Trek coming back to the big screen with more new alien life forms, exotic locations, and pretty damned sweet uniforms. 
Looks like the patch we were teased with back here is identical to the ones visible on the right shoulder of the jackets worn by Pine and Yelchin.
Yep. And I like these new jackets too.
I like the new uniforms and I'm trying to get used to Pine's new hair. Not bad at all.
