love it!

A couple of people have mentioned Scotty's reference to the giant green hand of 'Who Mourns for Adonais?' fame, but did anybody notice that it made an appearance during the end credits? I don't think I was hallucinating, though it was two-thirty in the morning, so I can't be certain...
No, you saw it alright. Unless I hallucinated the exact same thing. ;)

A great thematic cinema entrance photo op at the Sydney, Australia, preview on Wednesday night (ie. night before general release):

Yes, I noticed the green hand too. I was a bit suprised and now I am wondering if there were other TOS references in the end credits I missed.

"To boldly go where no man has gone before is not for a property so culturally and economically exploitable".
"They should have called it "Star Trek Into Drowsiness."
Remarks of incredible stupidity

Well. I don´t know. I personally feel that fans are very excited.
I saw it in a small UK village.........cinema was half full at 11am on a Friday...........Which seems pretty good on a work day. Never seen it that full that time of day.
