Cool! It does remind me of the TUC poster.

What of the picture john cho was holding with a little girl? was that not his kid.
The dirt bike looks so out of place on that poster.
yeah, she's saying that Spock is crazy in love with Uhura and maybe he loves her more than she loves him
maybe he wants to marry her and she's not ready, lol. I have a feeling she's messing up with us anyway but she picked my curiosity for sure.
I don't understand her comment about them being old in the series, though
You take it as her implying that someone could die or are you talking about another comment I missed (or maybe the point made by Pegg that everything can happen in this new reality)
I watched the trailer only few times but to be honest, I got the impression that we see more of Uhura (or maybe what we saw made more an impression on me) than Chekov, Sulu..
Zoe said her character has a lot of face time with the bad guy so my hope is that Uhura and Sulu, being the ones captured by the villain unlike their friends, might be the characters that help the whole exposition of the story of the villain.. and thus we see more of this world and these people through them because they are there, in the core of it all, while the others are, obviously, trying to hide from the villain and his people.
in short, I think for those of us who are interested about seeing more of these people and what they are doing to the crew and why they attacked them, MAYBE we have to rely on Uhura and Sulu because they are the ones there and can see stuff and interact with the bad guys.
Well, it would make sense to get them rounded up, first. I don't think it would hard work to sign the others when the time comes. Then again, if they had to, they could always recast.I hope no core character dies but its also worrying that paramount has only given pine and quinto a contract for a 4th movie
Why worrying? As big-ticket those two are now, Paramount was lucky to be able to afford optioning them for a single further film.I hope no core character dies but its also worrying that paramount has only given pine and quinto a contract for a 4th movie
Could've been a dune buggy.BTW I'm probably the only one, but I like the dirt bike!
I thought Kirk's bike in Trek09 was pretty cool, and i ALWAYS was annoyed with the lack of vehicles with wheels in Star Trek. I love it. (I mean I would love it even more if they would introduce those explorer rovers and bikes from Prometheus, but until then I'm perfectly happy with a bike)

I'm keen to know from where the cycle comes, but since we've already established Kirk can ride a motorcycle, I see no problem with him making use of it however he comes across it. (It is kind of neat compared to Kirk Prime trying to drive a car in "A Piece of the Action", too.)

I think they just signed Pine and Quinto because they are the two main stars of the films at this point, and they just want to make sure they will definitely be coming back. I wouldn't be surprised if they got everybody else back once they are sure they are doing a 4th.
I really like the new poster, it reminds me of a lot of the older Trek movie posters.
The other posters and even the first trailer use the old Enterprise model, or at least one with the original nacelle struts. I suspect the new, bent back struts were a fairly late addition. What irritates me about this poster is that they used the wront Enterprise model.
This is the CGI-model from Trek09 and Into Darkness. The new one (after the refit at the end of Into Darkness) has a much wider red impulse engine and backwards bent nacelle pylons.
I mean, I dig it, because I don't like the refit and would prefer the old model used throughout the movie. But it seems kind of odd to make such a mistake on a poster.
wow he could easily be looking at the 'prime' Enterprise there! the scene in STXI looks similar to that pic actually.. maybe it was part modelled on that shot of shatner? (the way tne Ent under construction was modelled on that fan pic from a few years back of the Ent being built on earth )TOS didn't take advantage of The Shat's interests/abilities:

If they didn't use an upside-down image of the Enterprise on the poster they've done better than a lot of publicity stuff over the decades.![]()
