Was disappointed that Kai Opaka pretty much disappeared from the show. Was happy she returned in the re-launch novels.

Opaka had such a great opportunity for becoming a very interesting character, it's a shame she was dropped from the show so soon. I really enjoyed Camille's performance in her appearances on the show. I don't know her from anything else, but I should look up some of the shows and movies she was in.

How sad. She absolutely blew me away when I saw her on stage. DS9 did not know what a talent they had in her. Acting-wise she could have gone toe-to-toe with Louise Fletcher, without a doubt. I always wished she could have remained a more regular presence on the show.

In the novels, Opaka and Winn were actually friends in the mirror universe. When there were moments between them together I'd get chills when thinking of Camille and Louise together as performers.

I loved Saviola in everything I saw her in, but especially as Kai Opaka. Even considering how little screentime she got it's pretty amazing to think how much gravitas she gave the character. May she rest in peace.
