I was randomly looking up Chris Pine and see if any information about the status on the 14th Star Trek film is on the IMDB. The next movie after "Star Trek Beyond" If its being written, director chosen, any cast members signed up. There was a teaser video there with a synthesized computer voice with text over a star field background. This video link pops up intermittently meaning its not there all the time on the IMDB. It started with "A top secret computer", asking the captain "What are your orders." ends with "Who commands 1701?" The episode "The Ultimate Computer" almost instantly popped into my mind. Thinking about this with the concept of cybernetic computer technology becoming an enemy to humans being a common theme in modern Science Fiction, it would make sense these Star Trek producers look back at that original episode and port into a movie size plot and story. With modern special effects and big budgets, someone could do the M5 controlling the Enterprise and battling Star Fleet.

This concept of Artificial Intelligence vs Mankind been a common theme such as Skynet in the Terminator movies. The Cylons in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. Also have "I Robot", the list goes on. Star Trek also has "The Borg", but many of us prefer that be reserved and remain with "The Next Generation" era / 24th Century.

I am not sure the full cast will come back for a star trek 4. Pine is now part of the DC Movie universe so don't be surprise if there are scheduling conflicts but in it all I would like to see JJ Abrams return.

Of the main cast, at least Pine and Quinto are committed to a 4th movie

Chris Pine and Zachery Quinto has signed to do the 4th reboot movie for $6 million for each of the 2 actors. Paramount probably offer a large sum to sign up the remaining cast members. According the IMDB the movie is called "Star Trek Call of the Fleets" and is in Pre-production. However, I have seen things change on the IMDB as production progresses with these movies. We don't even know the entire cast of "Star Trek Beyond" yet, the IMDB may not get all the details of a movie sometimes until the movie is released in theaters.

IMDB is one of those sites where anyone can contribute and edit. It's not a reputable source.

If Star Trek Beyond is a success, there will be a 4th film. We know Pine and Quinto at least are on board if it happens, but I doubt anything like a plot or a title exist yet.

It's not in pre-production, and it won't be until Beyond is ready for release, at the very earliest. Nothing is happening with Star Trek 4 right now, and that "Call of the Fleets" title was only added within the last few days - almost certainly a wishful-thinking edit by some fan with zero connection to Paramount, Bad Robot, or any other party who will actually involved in making the film. That page is a placeholder, and nothing more; no information you see on it prior to the official announcement of the next film should be considered reliable.

You might as well relax, at least until the end of the year. When there is news about the fourth movie, we'll hear about it via reliable channels, but not before then.

Pine is now part of the DC Movie universe
the 'supposed' DC Movie Universe. If BvS:DOJ:WTFBBQ bombs or doesn't gross as high as expected see WB drop the plans like a hot potato, going back to their old 'our characters are too big for those gimmicks' mantra. any connective tissue will be cut out of those movies still in production, with WW being one of them

I'll go ahead and leak this now ...

I've heard that Quinto will be leaving the Trek franchise to take on the role of Namor, and that Disney has directed JJ Abrams to take control of the MCU. No kidding, I really heard that. Somewhere. Pretty sure. I think.

:D

Texts:
"After Beyond, A New Mission of Danger"
"What are my orders?"
"Activate Multitronic Processors" (Voice)
"A Top Secret Computer"
"What is my Programming?"
"Beginning Space Combat."
"A Captain and His Crew."
"Can Ship attack me?"
"Port Nacelle ON USS Vanderin" (Voice)
"And it's fleet face their great challege"
"Samurai: Media Mainframe & Paramount Pictures Present"
"Intruder Alert" "Opening Airlock" "Opening Airlock" (Voice)
"Another Chapter in Star Trek's Iconic stories"

I am trying to get any information I can on this. IMDB labels it as "Pre-Production" which implies things like writing, location scouting, hiring of crew, everything that happens before the cameras' film.

I'd say it is an obvious fake as Paramount extended their deal with Bad Robot and Skydance. Who is "Media Mainframe"?

It's a fake and not a very convincing one, either.
"Not very convincing"? It's awful.
"And it's fleet face their great challege"
They didn't even bother to proofread their text graphics.

You might as well stop right now.

There is no information to find. Star Trek 4 is not in pre-production under the title "Call of the Fleets" or any other. There's no writing being done on it, no location scouting, no hiring of crew - no anything. The reason that "trailer" keeps disappearing from IMDb is because it's not authentic; it originates not from Paramount, but from a personal computer in someone's bedroom or dorm room.

Who is "Media Mainframe"?
They do have an IMDb page, but curiously enough, nearly every one of the titles they're involved with is listed as being in pre-production.

Yeah, it appears as if "Media Mainframe" is mostly one guy somewhere in the Dallas area.

Edit:

His Linkedin page says he also worked on Star Trek 3... along with Orci, McKay, Payne, Kurtman[sic] and D.C. Fontana,
