Sounds to me like they're using ST as a gimmick to attract interest in the technology center they want to build. Not an altogether bad idea, though I think it would be more appropriate for CBS to give the rights to the name to a tech center in the San Francisco area.

Agreed. Nevertheless, I still think that this is immeasurably cool. Zephram Cochrane University is another name which would be fun to see developed somewhere, whether for education or scientific research, or both.
