To name a bunch.

You only named 2.

I've got a mixed bag of likes, David Alan Grier, Louis CK, Russell Peters, Doug Benson, Greg Fitzsimmons, Joe Rogan, Joey Diaz, Patton Oswald, Kevin Nealon, Bobby Lee, Ari Shaffir to name a few.

I have to admit, I've always liked the more crass comedians.

Sam Kinison (RIP)
Richard Pryor (RIP)
Redd Foxx (RIP)
Eddie Murphy (still alive)
Buddy Hacket (RIP)

I'm seeing a trend here.

And some not so crass ones.

George Carlin (RIP)
Steven Wright

Geez... Where do I start... I used to LOVE watching standup shows...

Tim Allen, Jim Gaffigan, Louis CK, Mike Berbiglia, Jimmy Norton, etc etc etc...

My favorite from days gone by was a guy named Rick Schydner (sp?)... He did a bit about being a "Canyon Man".. Loved that...

Lewis Black

Randy and Jason Sklar, Patton Oswald, Louis CK, and Jim Gaffigan are my favorite current comics.

I still love Bob Newhart, Bill Cosby, Steve Martin, and Don Rickles.

Another Christopher Titus bit that just kills me every time I see it---the ceiling fan story.

Bill Hicks
Doug Stanhope
Frankie Boyle
John Bishop
Kevin Bridges
Tom Stade
Ricky Gervais
Bill Bailey
Dylan Moran

My 5 favorite all-time standups:

Steve Martin
George Carlin
Bill Hicks
Bob Newhart
Steven Wright

Carlin is my favorite. I think he had important things to say, in addition to being the funniest comedian I've ever seen. Here's one of my favorite bits of social commentary he did condensed to a single image: Carlin regarding corporate America

I also like Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg, Bill Hicks, Lenny Bruce, and others I'm probably forgetting.

I grew up in one of Stand Ups "Golden Ages" So for me:

Steve Martin
Martin Mull
Robin Williams
Andy Kaufman
Steven Wright.

A DJ on the "Modern Rock" Station I listened to in the 80s had comedians on as guests, some of my favorited from that bunch:

Bob Goldthwait
Tom Kenny
George Wallace
Greg Proops
Larry Bubbles" Brown

And old school favorites

Bill Cosby
Don Rickles
George Carlin
Cheech & Chong
