stalkin' my peeps - Welcome New Members thread!

Hi there everyone :) I was looking for the Helix BBS, but it seems it no longer exists, so I came here. I was one of the original members there way back in the day. Would like to know if any of the old gang is stalking these forums :)

Anyway, some stuff about me:

24/F/Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

I grew up with TNG, but my favourite spinoff is DS9. My favourite characters are Kira Nerys, Elim Garak, and Doctor Bashir, and Ben Sisko is definitely the best Captain in all the series'!

So how is everybody? :) Also, how does one get an Avatar around here? There is no option for me to choose one in my UserCP.

Ullii

Welcome to the asylum Ullii!

You'll have to wait to get an avatar; I think it's something like 50 posts and a couple of days before you can have one. (and you'll have to make it yourself or ask someone to make one for you -we don't have a gallery to choose from)

So, The Well of Echoes and DS9? -Well I can follow you on DS9 at least, but not in your love for The Sisko though!

You have read Irvine's books, I take it? They had SO MUCH POTENTIAL! Then he destroyed it at the end of Chimaera. One thing about Irvine though, is he is kind of a pervert. Actually, after reading half-way through The Fate of the Fallen, he is very much a pervert. Not being shy to write about adult situations is one thing, but going out of your way to describe a little girl's breasts? Seriously! :wtf:

And The Sisko is the Emissary of the Prophets. Do you deny the Prophets? :p

Nope, haven't read any (yet), I just have this habit of googeling usernames that pop up in this thread :rommie:

The profets: most arrogant aliens in the entire trekiverse, I really dislike those meddlers :borg:

As some of you might have noticed, I returned recently from a long absence.

Long days at work, raising a young child, and building a new home kind of interfered with my online time the past couple of years. Not to mention the lack of new Trek anywhere leaving little to discuss.

I recently decided to become a stay at home mother, at least for a while. My husband and I both had good jobs, so it was a choice between how much do you really need versus spending precious early formulative years with your child. To me, it was an easy choice, once I decided to make it.

So maybe I'll be online here some more now. There are several people I remember from the board the last time I was here. I have seen a lot of familiar IDs but several others are no longer here. But life moves on, as I well know.

Um... hi. I found this site purely by accident by googling 'Warp Core Breach' recipe.

Well, I'm a big ST fan and so thrilled to be part of yet another MB. Though I'm already in too many boards as it is. I'm also a good friend to Mrs. Picard, so I'm not stalking you, Madam P! XD

With that said, I'm happy to be here and hope to make lots of new friends.

*Waves*

I've already introduced myself in a few threads, but I'll do it here too :D
I'm Gates (hmmm wonder why? lol. They've called me that since I was small). Been a fan of Trek my whole life. Grew up watching Next Gen with my family, reruns of TOS and then Voyager. I did watch DS9 as well, but never really got into it.

Nice to be here :D

Hi Gates, hi Jukesette. Welcome to the craziness.

By craziness, I mean, stick around til May and watch what happens... :)

Hi, I'm new.

Have been a TOS fan since 1985 or so, watched TNG, didn't much care for VOY or DS9, haven't seen ENT.

Am very much looking forward to XI although am also afraid that I won't like it - for me, if Spock is believable, then everything is OK but I am not convinced yet.

Hi, I'm new here. I found this site by searching for the article about the guy that held up a gas station with a klingon sword. I wanted to get back in touch with my inner star-trek nerdliness, and I'm glad to see there are more lovers of the best show ever out there.
