ST3 Reportedly Being Filmed in Vancouver in 2016

It's pure wish fulfillment BS. Para Mobius has previously made some "interesting" claims on that FB group.
I'm unfamiliar with Para Mobius. Looks like he belongs to some "interesting" Facebook groups, but I don't see anything which suggests he'd be in a position to know any "inside" information concerning a production in development.

Saying that is like saying there won't be a scene on the bridge. It's not gonna happen.

Well, they may not specifically need the warp core section of engineering. As far as the rest of engineering goes, there must be big breweries in British Columbia. ;)

First result on Google Image Search for "breweries in british columbia".

Plus there's this report from September from TrekMovie.com:
"Orci Set To Star Shooting Next Star Trek Mid February 2015

Last month we reported exclusively that the first draft of the script for the next Star Trek feature film was completed. While they are not yet making any official announcements about the project, it appears that the script has met with a warm welcome at Paramount. TrekMovie has been told that the studio is moving forward with the project and have set production to start in mid February, 2015 (currently penciled in for February 15). "

Well yeah, sure, everything's okay, if you want to go with reputable sources. :p

I taken a few jabs at trekmovie .com with news you will not see there as is no secret they are bought and paid for by Bad Robot, but it appears all the ST websites are starting to ask questions about ST3, there is no evidence that Paramount has approved a budget or even approved Orci as director, fact they not said 1 word in any press release about ST3. Anyone with a pro IMDB account can now see the film status is not green lighted, it has no agreed upon script, and no agreed upon budget. As of last week maybe the one voice of truth to let something slip was Nimoy, at Star Trek Destinations during his live Skype appearance he said he was looking forward to appearing in ST3, but was puzzled as no one from the movie had contacted him, and he had not seen a script. My sources remain consistent that Paramount has released all support crew and was deeply unhappy with JJ and Orci for spreading the Shatner story that had no connection to the script they are said to have not accepted to hype their movie. I am again told right now that this whole event is dead in the water for the time being. No budget, no script equals for the time being no movie. Since making this post many Star Trek insiders have friended me and everyone is just baffled by what is going on here now. I still am placing a public dare to the first ST website to investigate and break this story, even if to accurately dispute it.
Dammit, he cited IMDB this time! It must be true!:p :p
It is my understanding CBS is clear to start creating new Star Trek content Q1 of 2015, so 60 days. I am not sure if this will air in 2015 or starting on the edge of 2016..... but am sure they plan to do it with a deep pocket investment and have a massive multi series set of specials encompassing all past ST series during 2016 and treat it as a huge celebration while making obvious they have no connection to the JJtrek universe. It is my understanding the BR contract with Paramount was extended and ends in 2016, but am far from certain of any exact details on the BR/ Paramount contract.

Yeah...I was wondering why they would shoot the thing in 2016 when the 50th Anniversary is that year. If they shoot in 2016, the movie wouldn't be out until 2017, and that would make no sense. Unless they shoot in January, have a super-fast post-production, and release in November/December. It's possible -- they did it with Casino Royale -- but Trek movies are heavy on the CGI so I doubt that would be the case.

2015 would be more likely.

"Many," he says. I wonder which ones, and whether they're all as important and inside as the guy who commented about "pulling for Season 5 of Enterprise on Netlfix".

But how can that be? That anonymous guy's sources say that Paramount doesn't like it!

Thing is, I'm sure there are people are Paramount that don't like it. I doubt any project sails through the approval process with no one questioning it along the way. All that matters is that the right people at Paramount like it.

The latest room-temperature rumours that nobody is talking about, from the "Star Trek Fans" Facebook group. To be taken with a pinch of salt. Or maybe a silo's worth...

On Aug 18th he made the submission... under NCNDs it was not suppose to be leaked... but the script was a plagiarized copy of Star Trek Titans and Paramount said NO they wanted a totally original script and it needed to be smart and would only give $80 million unless it was mind blowingly good when reviewed by the board of directors... he then leaked the Shatner story w/o studio permission as suspect that is his next script idea. Paramount was massively unimpressed and released all studio employees from obligation who were on standby to do ST3. Till Paramount increased budget and Orci writes a script they will approve... and maybe Orci steps back and lets someone direct it other then him who has experience.. this project for now is dead.

I'm guessing "Star Trek Titans" is meant to be the unmade TV movie Planet of the Titans http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Planet_of_the_Titans

Aren't the actors already on record that filming starts in February or March?
