ST:TMP: Was such a massive refit of the USS Enterprise logical?

    I’m not 100% convinced this is was something done by Okuda. Two blatantly egregious registry errors. I don’t think he was ever that sloppy, even at the beginning of his tenure, regardless if it was supposed to be seen too closely or not.

    You can always ask him, but the surrounding nonsense numerals (frequent on illegible displays) are pretty much Okuda’s trademark. Either the display is supposed to be legible and you just do it right, or it’s not and you can take a few shortcuts with the layout such as truncating registry numbers.

    Could be both. There was another graphic with more detail auctioned off at the same time. The could be the Okuda original, and the one posted here already is a cut-corners version to fit into a smaller panel.
