Spring Anime 2010

Working is cute, but having watched the preview a month ago, I'm just waiting for episode 2 to air.

Funny though, I'm worked up about how ANN critics find B Gata H Kei sexist. What a crock of shit, considering they generally like all the banal shoujo fare that airs constantly (Kaicho no Maid-sama, for example).

On a random note though, a certain group subbed a cam of the new Haruhi movie. Will my curiosity let me suffer through 3 hours of a cam? Hrm.

Still need to check out Giant Killing, although I guess it's a supposed to be a lot like Eyeshield.

What's so sexist about a woman wanting to get laid  I mean, as a guy I will flat out admit that I personally spent most of my High School career trying to get laid as well :D Its like the one thing that unites the genders

I think the issue alot of people have with K-On is all the moe in it. They believe it is going to over take the anime industry
I think the people who stir the moe scare pot are the ones who are worried that, if it takes over, their beloved lolis will all go away and they'll have to put away the Kleenex box.

Will my curiosity let me suffer through 3 hours of a cam? Hrm.
Not if it's of the same quality of season two.

Nothing. It's silliness. But the thing is Yamada doesn't want to get laid; she just thinks she does. I thought they made it blatantly obvious that was the point of the show.

a) To the super nerds, moe is to anime as wii is to gaming.

b) Endless Eight was awesome.

c) Exactly. Which is why I feel like they completely missed the point.

Sad to say I feel the same way. Maybe it'll be great, but I suspect Haruhi's had her day and the magic of the first series will never be recaptured.

Personally, I never felt any magic with the Haruhi series it was always a bit over-rated to me. Funny and entertaining for sure though. Both seasons were about the same in this area minus the Endless Bait which drags down season 2.

There's actually been alot of positive buzz in regards to the Haruhi movie. Having read the book, there is a good story to be told and there is no doubt that the animation is absolutely amazing.

While endless eight left a bad taste in alot of people's mouths, I get the feeling that alot of this was due to them taking what was supposed to be a Dissapereance TV series (something that was announced way back when) and changing it into a movie. At one point in time there was a release stating that the new Haruhi project was going to undertake a major change. The shift to a film format is probably what they were talking about. As a result they had this whole gap for a TV series and had to fill it with something.

Arakawa is apparently this season's Bakemono.

As someone who is not very up on the anime scene I can't make heads or tails of what that means.:)
She's saying Arakawa Under the Bridge is similar to Bakemonogatari. I'm assuming since Bakemonogatari was clever, witty, and a bit off-the-wall, which made for a damn fine show, that that's what she means the other show is like. At any rate go watch Bakemonogatari if you want to better understand.

There are lots of groups of dedicated fine young ladies and gentlemen, and about 30 new shows each season, each putting out a half hour episode once a week. It's not that much of burden for someone who speaks the language to put out a translation of the episode the same day it airs, often just hours. God bless the internet. :techman:
