Sports video memories

I still get chills seeing this play in the 1992 Sugar Bowl.

The Rundown

George Teague runs down Lamar Thomas and takes the ball away from him as Alabama wins the game and National Championship.

and just for good measure, (and because I saw it on youtube), The Goal Line Stand that won the 1978 National Championship.

One of the greatest Husker moments ever.

(Not too many announcers like Lyell Bremser still left in the world...)

Talk about your heads up play!

High school football game, the tight end catches the ball in the air but is going to fall outof bounds at the back fo the end zone. While in the air, he catches the ball and pitches it back to a teammate who is legally in bounds in said end zone. Touchdown!

That'll teach you to just "hand the ball to the ref" after scoring a touchdown. Actually, I might not have given the guy a penalty, since it seemed he'd already been punished enough.

The New York Daily News has compiled 12 vids they call "Sports' Greatest Mental Meltdowns." Temper tantrums, brawls, bizarre behavior - something for everybody.

In honor of Brian Dawkin's time with the Eagles, here's a vid of his ridiculous flying tackle.

Sicne it's playoffs time and the Canucks are about to start the second round, how about some '94 action vs the Flames:

Game 7, Canucks had stormed back from being down 3-1 to tie the series up. What happened then, with the game tied in the third, was probably the biggest save, then the biggest goal in Canucks history:

THE SAVE

THE OVERTIME GOAL TO WIN THE SERIES

Greatest meltdown of all time.. :guffaw:

I am no fan of horse racing. However, I cannot help but admire this performance from the Kentucky Derby this year: Link. Second greatest upset, apparently, in Derby history at 50-1 odds!
