Yay!

I has it in my grubby mitts. :D

Not enough HDD space available for installation... make way Mass Effect!

On a technical note I'm pleased that Spore plays nicely in a window. Switching from Spore to, err, posting on TrekBBS, is smooth as silk. So many games don't get that right.

I'm still working with my first creature, in the creature stage, which from where I'm standing looks to be shaping up as the least interesting stage. Cell stage is great, in many respects it feels very much like Flow on PS3. :)

As much as I'm looking forward to Spore, I'm looking forward to LittleBigPlanet just a little bit more. I'm not certain why but they're in the same mind space for me. I'll be getting LBP first, but Spore's still a buy for me, might wait till the new year though.

In Europe the release date was tomorrow(the 4th) but some stores put the game on the shelves as soon as they get then...
In The USA the release date is monday, but maybe some areas got the game early?!?

Ya, the online retailer I picked up Spore from also delivered Metal Gear Solid 4 and Mario Kart Wii a couple days prior to their official release dates. I can't say I've any complaints.

Something I just noticed, the options at Spore's main menu are Play, Create, and Share, which is LBP's motto.

Has anyone been having problems with the copy protection? I'm a little put off that I could only install it three times before it craps out. That would cover my PC, laptop, and then once more after one or the other dies. And never mind just getting it to run in the first place... I had epic problems with Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and the expansions.

I want it, but am not willing to deal with a hassle.

If you've played the Creature Creator, you've already dealt with the DRM... if you have no problems with it I assume you'll have no problems with the full game.
