Spock's Conscience/Should Spock warn _____ about ______?

I think Spock prepared a classified Federation briefing that included just the potentially Federation killing stuff that originated outside the influence of the Federation. These are the things that are ~already~ out there waiting to be found and I would just as soon we found them on our terms instead of unexpectedly falling over them. The Borg, the Dominion, the Whales, the Doomsday Machines, V'ger, Khan. This is what happened, these were the weeknesses the PrimeLine exploited, that sort of thing.

And I also think that in the STXI timeline, the number of people who ever know about Spock Prime is always going to be vanishingly small. Timeline whack-a-mole is already canon in both timelines due to ST:Enterprise but I don't see it ever becoming anything but classified at the highest levels.

You know, I can't believe Spock wouldn't try to fix the timeline. Every time in the past, when the timeline was endangered, Spock was engaged in repairing it (tomorrow is yesterday, city on the edge of forever, etc). I just can't see him sitting there and saying 'oh well' to the destruction of Vulcan, etc.

He could do this:

1) Produce more red matter
2) Get a ship
3) Go back in time
4) Somehow divert the Kelvin from meeting Nero
5) Intercept Nero at the entry point and use the red matter against him
6) Travel back to his own time, where everything should be as he remembered.

Isn't going to happen, of course, but it would be consistent with the Spock we knew. Not much about this NuTrek is consistent with what we knew, however.

Spock knows the future.

Okay this might of been asked before...

Do you think Spock Prime would tell the federation about what is to come?

Obviously some things are not going to happen in this universe but he could potentially save millions of lives.

I don't think so, but perhaps in his older age he's willing to break the rules of the temporal prime directive. Interestingly, will nuKirk have knowledge of the future due to his mind-meld with Spock Prime?

Re: Spock knows the future.

I think NuKirk only knows what Spock prime chose to share with him, the events leading up to the arrival of Nero.

Re: Spock knows the future.

What about young Spock? shouldn't he know about certain events from the Romulan he mindmeld with?

Re: Spock knows the future.

"A beginning is a very delicate time." Whatever Spock chooses to share or not will no doubt be carefully considered before he divulges any pertinent information. Some things will play out worse if he shares, and some things may occur the same, regardless. In such times as cluing in Starfleet (or possibly nuSpock or nuKirk, specifically), rest assured, Spock Prime will have meditated about it greatly, beforehand.

Re: Spock knows the future.

That's one thing I like about this movie. You can pull anything you need out of that mind meld. It could change Kirk's whole life.

Maybe there was nothing? But I like to think Spock told him everything, and Kirk's keeping it under his lid, see, myeah.

I think spock would emotionally impress on kirk during that mind meld that:
"you are this type of kirk" spock couldn't contain his emotions... he said at
the end that emotional transference is part of the meld... spock was litterally
astounded that the universe would have kirk find him. spock's "reality" of what
kirk is, and his emotional connection to kirk and spock's expectation of kirk
would have been part of that emotional transference...

kirk literally had a emotional ego change after that transference... kirk became... kirk...
