*Spock/Zachary Quinto Appreciation Zone*

I was watching Heroes last night, catching up on the last few episodes and noticed something. Sylar was writing with his right hand. It was pretty legible as well. I thought ZQ was left handed. Am I seeing things?? Or is he just that good ;)
ZQ is indeed left-handed.

A belated happy birthday to Tribbles!

Ladies, I think I just went into pon farr. Oh how I love this man in a suit! Or out of the suit works too...

Oh Tribbles! You are toooo much! He is hot though. Good Lord.

I haven't caught up with the last... 4 episodes of Heroes (I guess it just shows how much I've lost interest in that show) though I intend to these days... but I remember last season, I think it was in the finale, when Claire noticed that "Nathan" (shapeshifted Sylar) was using his left hand to do something, and it was supposed to be a clue to what he really was. This should indicate that Sylar is left-handed, just like ZQ.

Yes, that's what I thought, but... there Sylar was, writing with his right hand. I thought it was... interesting.

I was looking around podcasts and ran into a hilarious one called "Yoda and Me" and the 7th Episode has Zach guest-star as one of the crewmen on the set of "The Empire Strikes Back." Hearing him getting pissed at a senile, bad-acting Yoda is the most epically hilarious thing EVER!

EDIT: Got the link!

Hmm, it was working before, but something seems to have broken on their end.

Try it here, maybe: http://www.yodaandme.com/?p=18

Thanks for the birthday wishes, gang! It was a good one. I convinced my husband to get the rifftrax for Star Trek XI and we watched it with two of our friends. Hilarious!

Spylar is pretty scary, TheJosmo! The eye just makes him more intimidating. ;) Don't forget that with nuKirk's POWAAZ comes the coveted cliff-dangling ability!
Hi there Tribbles! This might be a little late since I havent been on here for a few days or so, but anyways.Happy Birthday! By the way for all you Zach/Spock fans like me who love this guy, I got very disapointing news. I just read on the news section on this site in Trek Today about Zach. It said the he's stepping away from Star Trek and sci-fi for awhile to do other projects. I found that very disapointing, which means he wont be at any Star Trek convetions for the next few years, and wont be involved in any other Star Trek and sci-fi stuff for awhile either. :( I will still follow him on other stuff he does, and of course his web site.I love that guy that much!:adore: And can hope he will be back to Star Trek and sci-fi when the sequel comes around. I wasnt sure if any of you knew, so I thought pass the measage along.

I heard he was working his own show about country music. =D That guy never fails to surprise! It's got Brad Paisley, who is awesome, producing the show. Sad how he's moving away from scifi stuff right now, but I understand he probably wants a break from being "Spock" and "Sylar."

I hope he will be back on time for the sequel. I loved him as Spock, just like i loved Leonard Nimoy as Spock. I dont think anybody could do as well as Spock then those two. They both just made the charcter to what and who he is.:vulcan:

Zach's posted on his blog to confirm that he will definitely be in the next movie.

It's perfectly understandable that he wants to concentrate on other things for a while. The last few years of his life have revolved around Trek and Heroes and for the sake of his future career he needs to get out there and diversify a little bit, prove he's not just a scifi guy. Look around at most of his Trek co-stars and their careers are on fire at the moment, he's been unable, until now, to take advantage of the hype from Trek because of his commitment to Heroes but now that they've wrapped the season he can finally spread his wings and take on a new project. I know he's talked about wanting to get back into theatre work and that his next role would probably be on the stage so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah I read that. To say Im relaved to say he will be back. I shouldve remmber the coment he made at the convetion last year when a fan asked if he would be in next film, and of course his answer was yes. I guess I forgot about it, and jump to conclusions. He is to much involved with Star Trek to just walk away forever. He really enjoyed/enjoys his fandom from Star Trek and others to just step away.I mean he did the STO,the audiobook, the convetions, appearances and much more. And he seemed to enjoy all of it, I even noticed it when I ment him in person. If he didnt enjoy it, he wouldve been gone long time ago. So we just all jumped to conclusions before giving a second thought. He is just taking a little break from it for a liitle while to do other projects, and there is nothing wrong that. I think he is amanzing actor as well as person. He is great in everything he does, no mater what it is. Anyways I look forward to the sequel and cant wait to see it when its out. I'm sure he will be as great as this last movie. Good luck in everything you do Zach, we all love you!:adore:

I remember him posting on his facebook discussion blog asking the fans what they'd like to see him work on next, and I was all like "Whaat? You mean you aren't already lining up new projects for when you're done with Heroes?" As much as I love him as Spock and Sylar, I want to see more of him in other fresh, new roles. He'd probably have to leave Trek for a while to make sure his take on Spock is still fresh and creative by the time the sequel is filmed. As far as Heroes, Sylar is the last thread that the show is hanging on for ratings. That sounds like a lot of pressure on Zach.

I'm super excited to see what he does in the meantime. Heck, I'd watch a B-grade romantic comedy if he was in it! He could turn that stuff into gold.

Aww thanks Zachary for clearing this all this misunderstanding up for us. You are a great guy and look forward to you in new exciting roles.

Well said! I wonder if he will do any romantic movies? He seemed to be very rommantic in the scene in Star Trek. You know the Spock & Uhura scene? He pulled that off really well.I like to see more of that in the next movie, as well if he did any rommantic movies. I Think he be a natrual at it. What do you think?

Not a big fan of romances myself, but it'd be hard to resist them if our dear Zachary was playing the lead.

Poor thing, trying to clarify his earlier statements about distancing himself from Trek-related projects. The fangirls keep him on his toes, for sure! It's a good thing he seems to find fandom endearing rather than annoying. :D

It seems like he is, startrekrcks! I love how much he seems to love animals. He captions some of the pictures of his dog as "Noah Quinto"... hee! Adorable. This man has to stop doing things that make me want to marry him. My husband doesn't appreciate it.

Edited to add: Look here, ladies! http://community.livejournal.com/ontd_startrek/1134523.html

ZQ's next big project! Wee, with Spielberg... can't wait!

Edited yet again to add: Not officially confirmed yet. I was too excited to put on my critical reading cap, sorry. :) But it sounds like chances are good!

A Gershwin biopic! I would totally see that! This is really great news for Zach. He's getting the really big guns looking at him now (a.k.a. Spielberg). He's definitely en route to having a really big career, IMO.
