Spock was Married?

I was watching the episode SAREK tonight and there was a line at the very beginning of the episode that I hadn't really thought about before. Picard mentioned he last talked to him at his (Sarek) son's wedding. I wonder who Spock was married to (if it was ever revealed in the books). It also makes the revelation that he might have had an adopted sister a little easier to bare.

This episode cross-references later in Unification when Picard encounters Spock, it is mentioned they had met once before, but not when or where.

The novels, from what I remember, suggest that Spock married Saavik around the time the USS Enterprise-C was lost, which was when Picard was still captain of the USS Stargazer.

Spock, (back from the dead) Sybok, or another son he had with the wife between Amanda and Perrin?

Amanda was pretty old in STIV and Perrin might have been in her 50's in Sarek, so 50 years without a wife if he marries Perrin when she was 20? Unlikely and quite illogical.

The Star Trek movies totally ruined Spock's love life. He had quite a few love interests in TOS. After that he joined a monastery, then SF, then he died, then rose and became weird. I really hope he didn't spend his ambassador years as a bachelor.

I'm not sure I like the idea of Spock and Savvik being married. Wasn't Spock Savvik's mentor? I guess it could work but the age gap must of been enormous.

If they married around the time of the films, the age difference might mean something, but by the mid-2340s? Spock would be in his 110s and Saavik would be...something like 80, and still looking pretty good considering what T'Pol looked like in Archer's alt future 2165, which would be only five or so years younger than that.

Vulcan's have an appreciation for younger women. Sarek was about 150 years older than his (3rd? 4th?) wife.

Spock was to have knocked up Saavik in THE VOYAGE HOME, as well, was he not? That's why she was left behind on Vulcan ... to give birth to Spock's son, who was conceived on The Genesis Planet. With Amanda, close at hand, to serve as midwife. And what was Spock to do, but marry her? I mean ... what would Spock, Jr. have grown up to be, in a single-family household? Another Sybok, maybe? One was enough ... more than enough!

I know Saavik got him through the Ponn Far, but that was Star Trek III and it seemed like a necessary evil. I didn't really see the love there between them, even in Star Trek IV. Maybe something in the interim happened, which I can believe.

Sarek and Amanda could've raised the child as their own, and that is the son Picard is talking about...

Nothing unusual (that I can see) about Spock and Saavik marrying. She may have been his student or protegé at one time, but that was decades ago. By the time they married, I'm sure they were well into adulthood and fully capable of making their own decisions.
