Spock versus Tongo Rad

Spock's Barber

Spock's Vulcan neck pinch is famous throughout the Galaxy, but Tongo Rad from Way to Eden has his own interesting way of incapacitating people. Which do you think was more effective, useful and cool?

I've never accepted the Vulcan nerve pinch as purely physical. That close to the nervous system, and therefore the brain, there has to be some element of Vulcan touch telepathy involved in implementing it.

Tongo Rad, on the other hand, is just administering nerve damage along the neck. That poor guy in auxiliary control probably had to have daily physical therapy and chiropractic massage for months afterward.

^ In one of the two Derek Flint movies, the main character (iirc) used a similar method to knock out a guard. Popular in the sixties?
