Spinoff....

Huh? In lookingh at te TNG sets it felt like I was watching ST:TMP since they reused everythin g fromm the TOS Feature films. The timeframe was supposeed to be vague - and it wasn't until some fans got anal and wanted to have te 'date' officially set that ST:TMP added "In the 23rd Century."

As for the costuming comparison, give me a break. Until ENT NOTHING had pockets and that was honestly ridiculous. The propuction value and costuming of the Kurtzman era makes TNG look threadbare.
TNG looked poor in comparison to TOS. The style language was very 80s, aside from having the blue uniform like in TMP. The reuse of sets between TOS films and TNG didn't help matters either, especially with TUC.

The 32nd century uniforms feel like the future informed by the cultures of the setting.

Cheap production doesnt want to pay for regular lighting for the bridges I guess.
There is absolutely nothing cheap about current Star Trek productions.
It matters is that we can no longer tell just by looking at the sets and design.
I guess you're just not paying attention. I've got no problem whatsoever telling the differences between the different productions.
Little details like that are glaring to a trek fan.
Only the crazy and obsessive ones.

So you don't agree so you insult? Smh.

Putting neon lighting in to light the bridges other sets is cheap in my opinon. Its in the 23rd, 25th and 32nd centuries. I guess neon lighting is the pinnacle of lighting. Its as bad as lighting directors using miniature lights on tv show to try and make sets look more interesting.

This. The design language feels very evocative of different aspects. SNW is clearly TOS and that isn't hard to see. 32nd Century feels like a mash up of Bajoran, Starfleet, and Romulan. My only objection to that era is the use of rank insignia, and the shape of the comm badges.
