So Lindoff, or whatever his name is from Lost would be the new showrunner.
Lindelof. Who yes, is one of the writers for the sequel to Abrams' Star Trek film.

Maybe I'm crazy, but shouldn't a show runner for a sci-fi series or movie have some background in sci-fi?
I used to like you, Kegg. What is a new movie fan doing in the Future of Trek section?
Damned if I know. I don't think the showrunner for the next Star Trek series (in the event of whenever that would happen) needs to have pre-existing geek cred like Straczynski, just so long as they make something good.Someone more like Strazinski would be more desirable but even he was off so finding someone would be harder than finding the next president I would think.
Well why can't someone produce a subscription sci-fi webseries or direct to dvd series? and cut CBS in on it or whoever backs it.
Oh wow! Not my first choice...Now if only Lucas would buy Trek.
The showrunner for the last eighteen years was a suit, now it's the son of a suit.
Temis, I think we should just ignore Xortex.
