Spider-Man movie (casting, rumors, pix till release)

If it's even real now. There is a Catwoman pic now that AICN claims might be from TDKR but looks like the fan art I had as my avatar pic.

I couldn't believe it that AICN posted that thing. To me, it was so obviously a fake that I didn't bother linking it in the TDKR Anticipation thread.

I'll feel pretty silly if it proves to be real after this comment...

No way that Anne Hathaway imposed face on that Catwoman suit was real. It came out literally days after the announcement.

As for the Spidey poster, it could be very real. Often times early stuff is pretty plain to start with. A teaser image to let the audience know, "Hey, guess what!" Get a propety back on the public's radar. But this Spidey poster is very, very plain.

As a poster design, it's fine. Yes, it's plain, but for a teaser poster, that's okay.

That font, though, really sucks.

The fact that it says "In July" seems to suggest that its a fake. It is too awkward and against the norm for a studio like Sony and a movie like this.

Emma Stone talks briefly about being a part of "The Amazing Spider-Man".

It sounds like she's excited and a little overwhelmed with the prospect of being a part of such an iconic film. I love Emma.

Also "Amazing Spider-Man" is going to be headlining Comic Con this year with the other studios bowing out. I predict we'll get the first teaser trailer then as well.

I didn't know Steve Kloves was writing it. That has me a little worried. He's practically the definition of hit and miss for me. Frankly, his Harry Potter films save for 3 and 7a really haven't been that good.

James Vanderbilt did the first draft. I'm not sure what happened to him. Steve Kloves was a surprise to me as well. I guess he was hired to do rewrites and now is the primary writer or something like that.

Cant say I'm hot on the lumpy head shape (ear bumps and whatnot), but the see-through eye pieces made of mesh are a nice touch – its the one element of this that feels like it could have been made at home.

Those are awesome shots. As I may have mentioned earlier in the thread I suspect that we'll be getting the first trailer soon. I'm guessing next weekend at comic con since "The Amazing Spider-Man" is headlining the con.
