haha yeah, fat chance.
There were rumours that this movie would be more angsty and less action-packed and would have a smaller budget as a result. But I always was dubious of this. The real reason why there was a reboot was that the studio and Raimi couldn't agree on a path ahead for Spider-man 4 and thus they all went their separate ways.
It was inevitable that the success of the last 3 would see more Spidey movies being made. Whether it came too soon to reboot and whether this one will be any good remains to be seen; I'm certainly glad that the studio has seen the wisdom of spending plenty of money on it; who wants a cheapo, modern-day Superman IV-type budgeted Spider-man movie?!
Yep. Rami and Sony had a disagreement over the plot of the fourth movie...didn't have anything to do with cost. It does look like the plot has evolved and changed somewhat since they first announced the reboot. I'm pretty sure page one of this thread has the announcement lol. I remember being really against it. Now I can't wait for this!
New logo and teaser poster
I think I prefer the PlayStation font of the previous movies more.
That logo...is not very amazing.
This one is kind of plain.
^ I don't really like the logo but the texture underneath the poster is nice.
Is Sony taking it's queue's from the Fox marketing department and those bland initial X-M:FC posters?
Stan Lee talks his Amazing Spider-Man cameo. Some might consider this spoiler-ish.
wish they'd use the comics font
I don't like it either. I'm not really sure why the article calls it an intriguing one sheet. It's not like it actually shows anything. The font looks too blocky in my opinion.
It looks more like a corporate logo that they use for licensing shows
There's no color to the logo. I feel like it should jump out at you. Maybe have some webs in between the letter or something.
Maybe to them, Less is more? Going the minimalist approach.
Two reasons why this poster might not be real:
a) it says "Marvel Studios" above the title, although - unlike, say, Thor - it is not a Marvel Studios production as far as I know.
b) "In July 3" - really?
The question is: Why would anyone make such a boring fake poster?
To Troll, duh!
The poster is kinda lame, but I do like the logo (if official). Elegance in its simplicity, I suppose.
If it's even real now. There is a Catwoman pic now that AICN claims might be from TDKR but looks like the fan art I had as my avatar pic.
It looks a little dodgy, so I dunno. I would figure Nolan and Co. would release Catwoman's image on their terms as opposed to sending it through low key viral marketing.
In any event, I'm sure Batman-on-Film will claim to have had this image for months now, but couldn't reveal it because "they promised not to".
