I enjoyed this movie very much. The characters were very likeable, especially Cage’s Spider-Man Noir. Nic Cage should do more voice over work. He’s pretty good at it.
I did find it curious that Parker didn’t recognise Gwen, who is a pretty important character to his development meaning that she was never a thing in his universe. We never had a chance to know if Pine’s version knew her which would have been interesting. Have MJ recognise her at the party or something to indicate it.
I suppose they wanted to simplify things a bit.

The only things I didn’t like was that the biggest of all the dimensional spider-men, 2099 was just a cameo at the very end. He should have had a bigger part. I also would have liked to know if Parker got back with MJ.

Solid A. The best Spider-Movie Sony has made in over a decade. I had very few complaints, and most of them were so minor as to not need mentioning.

I look forward to buying the movie and the soundtrack, (and probably some of the toys) and seeing the sequel/s.

P.S. Even in a film so loaded with winks, nods, in-jokes, references, etc...I especially liked the split-second shot of the TV in Aaron's apartment where you can see the ep of Community playing where Troy is wearing the Spidey PJs. :)

Are you guys outside of the US? It doesn't open here until Friday.

There were previews in the uk on the 7th. Opens properly on the 12th. The same day as Aquaman.

Haven't seen the movie yet but the trailer really piqued my interest. Looks like fun.

I just saw it this morning and I loved it.
One my favorite this was all the comic book elements that popped up from time to time, like text boxes, text sound effect, thought bubbles, and comic panels. They really did a great job of making it feel like a comic book come to life.
The overall artstyle was nice to, it was very unique, and really did feel like a CGI version of the kind art you could expect to see in a comic.
Loved the characters, I've never read a non-Peter Parker Spider comic, and I thought the movie did a great job of introducing all of it's different Spider-people. It was very much Miles story, but they still managed to give everybody some attention and a moment or two in the spotlight. Noir, Sp//dr, and Spider-Ham were definitely secondary to the other three, but they still gave them enough to do that they didn't feel unnecessary.
I really enjoyed the overall story, everything made sense and was fairly easy to follow.
I'd put this right up there as one of the absolute best super hero comic book movies.

Miles, Gwen and Noir were the highlights of this, for me. Great visuals, characters, voice work, the lot. Loved it. :)

A few more thoughts:
I was surprised that it was actually Spider-Gwen Gwen at Miles school. I recognized her from the trailers, but I assumed she was his universe's Gwen, and that his friendship with Spider-Gwen would make him more confident around her.
Kingpin's motivation was nicely simple, to many of these movies end up giving their villains, big convoluted plots that barely make sense, so it's always nice when they keep it straight forward.
Loved the Spider-Man from Miles's universe's hideout. He was played by Chris Pine, so from this point on he's Pine Spider-Man. Has he ever had a hideout like that in the comics?
Pine Spider-Man's song during the end credits was hilarious.

This was so good! I'm just sad to see that people don't seem to be flocking to this. I get it; people still think animated movies are kids' stuff, but it's such a shame.

Her whole plan reminded me of Supergirl the movie. Super-powered stranger to this universe decides her best bet is to enroll in school and just hang out.

She did say her Spider sense drew her to the school, so it wasn't entirely random.

What would be a more logical move for her?
Whatever Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir, and Peni Parker did. :)

But that brings up something else. In this film, when two Spiders meet in this film, they get a sort of spider-sense resonance going on where they can tell they are each spiders. But nothing happens when Miles and Gwen interact after he has his powers.
