It was also a concept art for "Homecoming"

It looks pretty good, but I don't get the MCU costume department's determination to have those horizontal bands on his arms. They just break up the design in weird ways.

I doubt we'll see Mary Jane for the same reason that I doubt we'll see Green Goblin or Doc Ock. It's been done.

Then why even do Spider-Man? Or, since we know why they keep using Spider-Man, why have Aunt May? Why have web shooters and not have Peter shoot webbing out of his butt? Why isn't he just Doppleganger, with 4 arms and actual Spider eyes? Its like dropping Krytpon from Superman's origin because its been used too much. Especially for Peter's love interests. I can see taking a break on characters like Green Goblin when so many villains haven't been used, but with Peter, the guy only has two love interests that 1) aren't absolute garbage and 2) anyone that isn't an obsessive fan even remembers. Zendeya isn't one of them, and never will be. At this point, even as a certified Gwen Stacy hater, I'd take her if we can't get the actual MJ. Its not like we've had an actually good rendition of that character, anyway :shifty: Or maybe Black cat, that would be cool except Peter is way too young in the movies.

Anyway, maybe when the series reboots again, we'll see things like adult Peter and MJ again. Until then, we'll get a few more mediocre MCU films involving the character, and honestly I'd prefer they just never use the good Spider-Man characters. Raimi did Goblin and Ock really well, i'd hate to see the people behind Homecoming fuck them (or characters like MJ) over.

I can never understand the way you think.

You really need to let go of the past and think outside of the box.

@K5×5

Because Spider-Man has such a large and diverse Supporting Cast and Rogues gallery. Green Goblin and Doc Ock aren't the only villains that Spider-Man has ever fought. if Marvel were to make the same mistakes that Sony did with the Garfield movies, and just do the same thing all over again, the movie would flop and deserve to.

I'll be happy if I never hear the name "Osborn" in a Spider-Man movie again. And now we're getting Vulture, and Mysterio and possibly the Chameleon and the Scorpion and who knows who else that have never gotten the big screen treatment and probably never would if Marvel just went and did Green Goblin and Doc Ock all over again.

The same thing applies to Mary Jane. Peter's had a large array of romantic interests over the years. Why would Peters first romantic interests be the only love of his life? I know that's how the Raimi movies did it, but that's not how the real world generally works.

Unpopular opinion: The less like the Raimi movies the better, as far as I'm concerned.

Very unpopular opinion, since the Raimi movies were the only Spider-Man adaptations to come as close as possible to getting it right, unlike--for one example--the horrible Garfield movies with its stammering, ready-for-the-looney-bin Parker and empty villains.

Not quite confirmed since that could still easily be Jake Gyllenhaal's head in the silhouette.

Also...dark berry Dr. Pepper? What the hell? :wtf:
